¹¹ Neuerthelesse I wil now entreate the resydue of this people no more as for a time, sayeth the Lord of Hostes,

⁹ He will not alwaye be chydynge, neither will he kepe his anger for euer.

¹³ The hatred of Ephraim and the emnyte of Iuda shalbe cleane roted oute. Ephraim shall beare no euyll wyll to Iuda, and Iuda shall not hate Ephraim:

¹ So that then thou shalt saye: O Lord I thanke the, for thou wast displeased at me, but thou haste refrained thy wrath, & hast mercy vpon me.

¹⁹ is not the sede yet in the barne? haue not the vines, the fyggetrees, the pomgranates, & oliue trees bene yet vnfrutefull? but from this day forth, I shall make them to prospere.

⁸ and will bringe them againe, that they maye dwell at Ierusalem. Then shalbe my people and I wilbe their God, in trueth & righteousnesse. ⁹ Thus sayeth the lord of hostes: let your handes be stronge, yea that nowe heare these wordes by the mouth of the prophetes which be in the dayes, that the foundacion is layed vpon the Lorde of hostes house, that the temple may be buylded.

⁹ Therfore are ye cursed with penury, because ye dissemble with me, all the sorte of you. ¹⁰ Bringe euerye Tithe into my barne, that there maye be meat in myne house: and proue me withall (sayeth the Lorde of hostes) yf I will not open the windowes of heauen vnto you, and poure you out a blessynge with plenteousnesse. ¹¹ Yea, I shal reproue the consumer for youre sakes, so that he shall not eate vp the frute of youre grounde, neyther shall the vineyarde be baren in the felde, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
