³ so that yf any of them prophecy any more, hys owne father and mother that begat him, shal saye vnto him: Thou shalt dye, for thou speakest lyes vnder the name of the Lord: yea his owne father and mother that begat him, shal wound him, when he prophecieth.

²⁷ And he sayd vnto them, thus sayeth the Lorde of Israel put euery man his swerde by hys syde, and go in and out from gate to gate thorow out the hoste: & slee euery man his brother, euery man his frende and euery man his neighbour. ²⁸ And the chyldren of Leui dyd as Moses had sayde. And there were slayne of the people the same daye, aboute thre thousande men.

⁶ If thy brother the sonne of thy mother or thine own sonne or the daughter of the wife that lieth in thy bosome or thy frende which is as thyne owne soule vnto the, entyce the secretely saying, let vs go & serue straung Goddes which thou hast not knowne nor yet thy fathers of the gods, ⁷ of the people which are round aboute the, whether they be nye vnto the, or farre of from the, from the one end of the lande vnto the other. ⁸ Se thou consente not vnto him, nor herken vnto him: no let not thyne eye pity him nor haue compassion on him nor kepe hym secrete, but cause hym to be slaine. ⁹ Thine hande shall be first vpon him to kyl him, & then the handes of all the people. ¹⁰ And thou shalte stone hym wt stones that he dye, bicause he hath gone about to thrust the away from the Lorde thy God which brought the out of Egypt the house of bondage. ¹¹ And all Israel shal heare and feare and shal do no more any suche wyckednes as thys is amonge them.

²⁰ But the prophete which shall presume to speake ought in my name whych I commaunded not to speake, and he that speaketh in the name of straunge goddes, the same prophete shal dye.

⁹ He that saith vnto hys father and mother. I saw hym not and vnto hys brethren, I knewe not, and to hys sonne I wot not: for they haue obserued thy worde and kepte thy testamente.

³⁴ And the prophet, preste or people that vseth this terme (the burthen of the Lord) hym wyll I viset, and hys house also.

⁹ And yf that Prophete be deceyued, when he telleth hym a worde: then I the Lorde my selfe haue dysceyued that Prophete, & wyl stretche forth myne hande vpon hym, to rote hym out of my people of Israel,

³⁷ He that loueth hys father, or mother more then me, is not mete for me. And he that loueth hys sonne or doughter more then me, is not mete for me.

²⁶ If a man come to me, and hate not hys father and mother, and wyfe, and chyldren and brethren & systers, moreouer and hys owne lyfe, he can not be my disciple.

¹⁶ Wherfore hence forthe knowe we no man after the fleshe. In so muche though we haue knowen Christe after the fleshe, nowe hence forth knowe we hym so no more.
