¹³ lokynge for that blessed hope and gloryous apperyng of the myghtye God, and of oure sauyoure Iesu Christe,

²⁵ For I am sure, that my redemer liueth & that I shal ryse out of the earth in the latter day: ²⁶ that I shal be clothed againe wyth thys skynne, & se God in my fleshe. ²⁷ Ye I my selfe shal beholde hym, not wyth other but wyth these same eyes. My reynes are consumed within me,

⁹ At the same tyme shall it be sayde: lo, thys is oure God in whom we put oure trust, and he hath healed vs. This is the Lorde that we haue wayted for. Let vs reioyse and delyte in hys health.

²⁷ For the sonne of man shall come in the glorye of hys father, wyth hys aungels: & then shall he rewarde euery man accordyng to his dedes.

³¹ When the sonne of man cometh in hys glorye, and all the holye aungels with him, then shall he sytte vpon the seate of his glory,

⁶⁴ Iesus sayd to him thou hast sayed. Neuertheles I say vnto you, hereafter shall ye se the sonne of men sittynge on the ryght hand of power, and come in the cloudes of the skye.

³⁸ Whosoeuer therfore shalbe ashamed of me and of my wordes, among this aduouterous and synfull generacion, of hym shall the sonne of man be ashamed when he cometh in the glory of hys father with the holy aungels.

⁶² And Iesus sayed: I am. And ye shall se the sonne of man sit on the ryght hande of power, and come in the cloudes of heauen.

¹⁵ and haue hope towardes God that the same resurreccyon of the dead (which they them selues loke for also) shall be both of iuste and vniuste.

⁵ And hope maketh not ashamed, for the loue of God is sheed abroade in our hertes by the holye ghost, which he is geuen vnto vs.

²⁴ For we are saued by hope, But hope that is sene is no hope. For howe can a man hope for that which he seyth? ²⁵ But and yf we hope for that we se not, then do we with pacience abyde for yt.

¹³ The God of hope fil you with all ioye, and peace in beleuynge, that ye maye be ryche in hope thorowe the power of the holye ghoste.

⁷ so that ye are behynd in no gyfte, and wayte for the appearynge of oure Lorde Iesus Christe,

⁴ in whome the God of thys worlde hath blynded the myndes of them which beleue not, leste the lyght of the gloryous gospell of Christe which is the ymage of God shoulde shyne vnto them.

⁶ For it is God that commaunded the lighte to shyne out of darknes, whiche hath shyned in oure hertes, for to geue the lyghte of the knoweledge of the glorye of God, in the face of Iesus Christe.

²⁰ But oure conuersation is in heauen, from whence we loke for a sauiour, euen the Lorde Iesus Christ, ²¹ whiche shal chaunge oure vyle bodies, that they maie be fashioned like vnto his glorious bodie, accordinge to the working, wherby he is able to subdue all thinges vnto him selfe.

⁵ for the hopes sakes, whiche is layde vp in store for you in heauen of whiche hope ye haue heard before by the true worde of the Gospe

²³ yf ye continue grounded and stablyshed in the fayth, and be not moued away from the hope of the Gospell, where of ye haue hearde, how that it is preached amonge al creatures which are vnder heauen, wherof I Paule am made a minister.

²⁷ to whom God woulde make knowen the glorious riches of this misterye amonge the Gentyls, whiche ryches is Christ, in you the hope of glorye,

⁴ When Christ which is our life, shal shew him selfe then shal ye also appere wyth him in glorye.

⁸ And then shall that wicked be vttered, whome the Lorde shall consume with the spirite of hys mouth, and shall destroye wt the aperaunce of hys commynge.

¹⁶ Our Lorde Iesu Christe hym selfe, and God oure father whiche hath loued vs and hath geuen vs euerlastynge consolatyon and good hope thorow grace,

¹³ I geue the charge in the syght of GOD, whiche quickeneth all thynges, & before Iesu Christe whiche vnder Poncyus Pylate wytnessed a good wytnessynge, ¹⁴ that thou kepe the commaundement, and be wythout spot and vnrebukeable, vntyll the appearynge of our Lorde Iesus,

¹ I testifye therfore before God, & before the Lord Iesu Christe, which shall iudge quycke and deade in hys appearyng in his kyngedome,

⁸ From henceforth is layde vp for me a croune of ryghtuousnes which the Lorde that is a ryghtuous iudge shall geue me at that daye: not to me only, but vnto all them that loue hys comynge.

² vpon the hope, of eternall lyfe, whiche lyfe God that can not lye, hath promysed before the worlde beganne:

⁴ But after that the kyndnes and loue of our sauyoure God to man warde appered,

⁶ which he shed on vs aboundauntly, thorowe Iesus Christe oure sauyoure, ⁷ that we ones iustifyed by hys grace, shoulde be heyres of eternall lyfe, thorow hope.

¹⁸ that by two immutable thynges (in which it was vnpossyble that GOD shaulde lye) we myghte haue perfecte consolacyon, whiche haue fled, for to holde faste the hope that is set before vs, ¹⁹ whiche hope we haue an ancre of the soule both sure and stedfast. Whiche hope also entreth in, into those thynges that are wythin the vayle,

²⁸ euen so Christ was ones offered to take away the synnes of many, and vnto them that loke for hym, shall he appere agayne wythoute synne vnto saluacyon.

³ Blessed be God the father of oure Lorde Iesus Christe, whiche thorowe his aboundaunt mercye begat vs agayne vnto lyuely hope by the resurreccyon of Iesus Christe from death,

⁷ that youre faythe ones tryed beynge muche more precyous, then golde that perysheth (though it be tryed with fyre) myghte be founde vnto laude, glory, and honoure, at the apearynge of Iesus Christ

¹ Simon Peter a seruaunte, and an Apostle of Iesus Christe, to them whyche haue obtained lyke precyous faith wyth vs in the rightuousnes that commeth of oure God and sauiour Iesu Christ.

¹² lokynge for and hasting vnto the comminge of the daye of God, in which the heauens shall perishe with fyre, & the elementes shalbe consumed wyth heat. ¹³ Neuertheles we loke for a new heauen and a newe earth, accordinge to his promys, wherin dwelleth rygtuousnes. ¹⁴ Wherfore dearly beloued, seynge that ye loke for such thinges, be diligent that ye may be found of hym in peace, wythout spotte and vndefyled

¹⁸ but grow in grace, and in the knowledge of oure Lorde and Sauiour Iesus Christe. To whom be glorye both nowe and foreuer. Amen.

² Dearly beloued, now are we the sonnes of God, and yet it doeth not appeare, what we shalbe. But we knowe that when it shal appere, we shalbe like him. For we shall se him as he is. ³ And euery man that hath thys hope in him, pourgeth him selfe, euen as he is pure.

¹⁴ And we haue sene and do testifye, that the father sent the sonne, whyche is the sauyour of the world.

⁷ Behold he commeth wyth cloudes, and al eyes shal se him: and they also whiche persed hym. And all kynredes of the earth shal waile. Euen so. Amen:
