⁹ Who is thy loue aboue other louers, O thou fayrest among women? Or what can thy loue do, more then other louers, that thou chargest vs so straytely?

¹³ The kynges daughter is all glorious within, her clothyng is of wrought golde.

³ Very excellent thynges are spoken of the thou cyty of God. Selah.

⁸ If thou knowe not thy selfe (O thou fayrest among women) then go thy waye forthe after the fotesteppes of the shepe, as though thou woldest fede thy goates beside the shepeherdes tentes.

¹ Whither is thy loue gone then (O thou fayrest amonge women) whither is thy loue departed, that we may seke hym with the?

⁹ But one is my doue, my derling. She is the onely beloued of her mother, and deare vnto her that bare her. When the daughters sawe her, they sayde, she was blessed: Yea the Quenes and concubynes praysed her. ¹⁰ What is she this, that pepeth out as the mornynge? fayre as the moone, excellent as the sunne, glorious as an army of men with their baners.

² He shall growe before the Lorde lyke as a braunche, and as a rote in a drye grounde, he shall haue neither bewtye nor fauoure. When we loke vpon him there shalbe no fayrenesse: we shall haue no lust vnto him

¹³ When Iesus came into the costes of the citie whych is called Cesarea Philippi, he axed his disciples sayinge: whome do men saye that I the sonne of man am? ¹⁴ They sayde: some saye that thou arte Ihon Baptist, some Helyas, som Ieremias, or one of the Prophetes. ¹⁵ He sayde vnto them: but whome saye ye that I am? ¹⁶ Simon Peter aunswered and sayde: Thou arte Christ the sonne of the liuynge God. ¹⁷ And Iesus aunswered and sayde to hym: happy arte thou Symon the sonne of Ionas, for fleshe & bloude hath not opened vnto the that, but my father which is in heauen.

¹⁰ And when he was come into Ierusalem all the cytye was moued sayinge: who is thys?

¹⁴ And the worde was made flesh & dwelt amonge vs, and we sawe the glorye of it, as the glory of the onlye begotten sonne of the father, which worde was ful of grace & verite.

³ Yf oure Gospell be yet hyd, it is hyd among them that are loste, ⁴ in whome the God of thys worlde hath blynded the myndes of them which beleue not, leste the lyght of the gloryous gospell of Christe which is the ymage of God shoulde shyne vnto them. ⁵ For we preache not oure selues, but Christ Iesus to be the Lorde, and oure selues youre seuauntes for Iesus sake. ⁶ For it is God that commaunded the lighte to shyne out of darknes, whiche hath shyned in oure hertes, for to geue the lyghte of the knoweledge of the glorye of God, in the face of Iesus Christe.
