³⁴ who then shall condempne? It is Christe whyche is dead, ye rather which is rysen agayne, which is also on the right hande of God, and maketh intercession for vs.

²⁴ then the Lorde is mercyfull vnto hym, & sayeth: He shalbe delyuered, that he fall not doune to destruccyon, for I am suffycyentlye reconcyled.

²⁹ If he delyuer and graunte pardon, who wil iudge or condemne? But yf he hyde away hys countenaunce, who wyll turne it aboute agayne, whether it be to the people or to anye man?

³³ But the Lorde will not leaue him in hys handes, nor condempne him when he is iudged.

³¹ For he standeth at the ryght hand of the pore, to saue hym from suche as condempne hys soule.

¹² Therfore wyll I geue him the multytude for hys parte, and he shall deuyde the stronge spoyle because he shall geue ouer hys soule to death, & shalbe rekened amonge the transgressours, which neuertheles shall take away the sinnes of the multytude, and make intercessyon for the mysdoers.

²⁰ In those dayes & at the same tyme (sayeth the Lorde) yf the offence of Israel be soughte for, there shal none be found: Yf men enquere for the sinne of Iuda, there shalbe none: for I wyll be mercyfull vnto them whome I suffre to remayne ouer.

²⁸ euen as the sonne of man came not to be minnistred vnto, but to minister, and to geue his life for the redempcion of many.

¹⁹ So then when the Lorde had spoken vnto them: he was receyued into heauen, and is set doune on the ryght hande of God.

¹⁹ Yet a lytel whyle and the worlde seeth me no more: but ye shal se me. For I lyue, and ye shall lyue.

²³ And in that day shal ye axe me no question. Verely verely I say vnto you: whatsoeuer ye shall axe the father in my name, he wyll geue it you.

²⁶ At that daye shall ye axe in my name. And I say not vnto you that I wyll speake vnto my father for you. ²⁷ For the father hym selfe loueth you, because ye haue loued me, and haue beleued, that I came out from God.

²⁰ I praye not for them alone: but for them also which shall beleue on me through theyr preachyng ²¹ that they all maye be one, as thou father art in me, and I in the that they maye be also one in vs, that the worlde maye beleue that thou haste sent me. ²² And that glorye that thou gauest me, haue I geuen them, that they may be one, as we are one, ²³ I in them, and thou in me, that they maye be made perfect in one, & that the worlde maye knowe that thou haste sent me, & hast loued them as thou haste loued me. ²⁴ Father, I will that they which thou haste geuen me, be with me where I am, that they maye se my glory which thou hast geuen me. For thou louedest me before the makynge of the worlde.

⁵⁶ & sayde: beholde, I se the heauens open, and the sonne of man standynge on the ryght hande of God. ⁵⁷ Then they gaue a shut wyth a loude voice, and stopped their eares, and ranne vpon hym al at once, ⁵⁸ and cast him out of the cytie, & stoned him. And the witnesses layde doune theyr clothes at a yonge mannes fote named Saul. ⁵⁹ And they stoned Stephan calling on & saiyng: Lord Iesu receiue my spyryte. ⁶⁰ And he kneled doune and cryed with a loude voice: Lord laye not thys sinne to their charge. And when he had thus spoken: he fel a slepe.

²⁵ Whiche was deliuered for oure synnes and rose agayne for to iustifye vs.

⁶ For when we were yet weake accordyng to the tyme: Christ died for vs whiche were vngodly. ⁷ Yet scrace will anye man dye for a ryghtuouse man. Parauenture for a good man durst a man dye. ⁸ But God setteth out his loue that he hath to vs, seing that whil we wer yet sinners, Christ died for vs. ⁹ Much more then now (seing we are iustified in hys bloud) shall we be saued from wrath thorowe hym. ¹⁰ For yf when we were enemyes, we were reconciled to God by the death of hys sonne muche more, seynge we are reconciled, we shall be preserued by his lyfe.

¹ There is then no damnation to them which are in Christ Iesu, which walke not after the flesh: but after the spirite.

²⁷ And he that searcheth the hertes knoweth what is the meanynge of the spirite: for he maketh intercession for the sayntes accordinge to the pleasure of God.

⁹ For Christe therfore dyed, and rose agayne, and reuyued that he myght be Lord both of dead & quicke.

¹³ Let vs not therfore iudge one another anye more. But iudge thys rather, that no man put a stumblynge blocke or an occasyon to falle in hys brothers waye.

¹³ But Christ hath delyuered vs from the curse of the lawe, and was made accursed for vs. For it is wrytten: cursed is euery one that hangeth on tre, ¹⁴ that the blessyng of Abraham myghte come on the Gentyles thorowe Iesus Christ and that we myght receyue the promes of the spyryte thorow fayth.

¹ If ye be then rysen agayn with Christ seke those thinges which are aboue where Christe sitteth on the right hand of God.

³ Whyche sonne beyng the bryghtnes of hys glorye, and verye Image of his substaunce, bearinge vp al thinges wyth the worde of hys power, hath in his owne persone pourged our synnes, and is sitting on the right hand of the maiestie on hygh,

¹⁴ Seyng then that we haue a great hye prieste, which is entred into heauen (I meane Iesus the sonne of God) let vs holde our profession. ¹⁵ For we haue not an hye prieste, whiche can not haue compassion on our infirmities, but was in all pointes tempted, lyke as we are, but yet without sinne.

²⁵ Wherfor he is able also euer to saue them that come vnto God by hym, seyng he euer lyueth, to make intercessyon for vs.

¹ Of the thynges which we haue spoken this is the pythe: that we haue suche an hye prieste that is sytten on the ryght hande of the seate of maiestye in heauen, ² and is a mynyster of holye thynges, and of the verye tabernacle whiche God pyghte, & not man.

¹⁰ wyth onelye meates and drynkes and dyuers washynges and iustifiynges of the fleshe, whyche were ordeyned vntyll the tyme of reformacyon. ¹¹ But Christe beynge an hye prieste of good thynges to come, came by a greater & a more perfecte tabernacle, not made wyth handes: that is to saye, not of thys maner buyldynge, ¹² neyther by the bloude of gotes and calues, but by hys owne bloude he entred once for al into the holye place, and founde eternal redempcyon. ¹³ For yf the bloude of oxen and of gotes and the ashes of an heyfer, when it was sprinkled, puryfyed the vncleane, as touchyng the puryfiynge of the fleshe: ¹⁴ Howe muche more shall the bloude of Christe (which thorow the eternall spyryte offred hym selfe without spot to God) pourge youre conscyences from dead workes, for to serue the lyuyng God?

²⁴ For Christe is not entred into the holye places that are made wyth handes, whiche are but simylytudes of true thynges: but is entred into verye heauen, for to appere nowe in the syghte of God for vs:

¹⁰ By the whiche wyll we are sanctyfyed, by the offerynge of the bodye of Ieu Christ once for all. ¹¹ And euery priest is redy daylie mynistring and ofte tymes offereth one maner of offerynge whyche can neuer take awaye synnes. ¹² But thys man after he had offered one sacryfyce for synnes, satte hym downe for euer on the right hande of God, ¹³ and from henceforth taryeth tyl hys foes be made hys fote stole. ¹⁴ For wyth one offeryng hath he made perfecte for euer, them that are sanctyfyed.

¹⁹ Seynge brethren that, by the meanes of the bloude of Iesu, we may be bold to enter into that holy place, ²⁰ by the newe and lyuynge waye, whych he hath prepared for vs, thorow the vayle, that is to say hys flesh. ²¹ And seynge also that we haue an hye pryest which is ruler ouer the house of God ²² let vs draw nye wyth a true herte in a full fayth, sprynkeled in our hertes from an euyl conscyence, and washed in our bodyes wyth pure water,

¹ Wherfore let vs also (seyng that we are compassed wyth so great a multytude of witnesses) laye awaye all that presseth doune, and the synne that hangeth on and let vs runne, wyth pacience vnto the batayle that is set before vs ² lokynge vnto Iesus the author and fynysher of our fayth, whiche for the ioye that was set before hym, abode the crosse, and despised the same, and is set doune on the ryght hande of the throne of God.

¹⁸ For as much as Christ hath ones suffered for sinners, the iuste for the vniuste, for to bringe vs to God, and was kylled, as perteininge to the fleshe: but was quickened in the spirite.

²² whyche is on the right hande of God, and is gone into heauen, aungelles, power, and mighte, subdued vnto him.

¹ My lytle chyldren, these thinges wryte I vnto you, that ye sinne not, yf anye man synne, yet we haue an aduocate with the father, Iesus Christe, whiche is rightuouse, ² and he it is that obtayned grace for our sinnes, not for oure sinnes onelye, but also for the synnes of al the worlde.

¹⁸ and am alyue, and was dead. And beholde I am alyue for euer more and haue the kayes of hell, & of death.
