²³ But I se another lawe in my membres rebellynge agaynst the lawe of my mynde and subduynge me vnto the lawe of synne whyche is in my membres.

⁷ Bryng my soule out of pryson, that I may geue thankes vnto thy name: which thyng if thou wilt graunt me, then shall the righteous resorte vnto my company.

²⁰ for there is not one iuste vpon earth, that doth good, and synneth not.

¹³ Neyther geue ye youre members as instrumentes of vnrightuousnes vnto sinne: but geue yourselues vnto god, as they that are aliue from death. And geue your membres as instrumentes of ryghtuousnes vnto God,

¹⁹ I will speake grossely because of the infirmitie of youre fleshe. As ye haue geuen your members seruauntes to vnclennes and to iniquitie: from iniquitie vnto iniquitie: euen so now geue your membres seruauntes vnto rightuousnes, that ye may be sanctifyed.

⁵ For when we were in the fleshe the lustes of synne whych were sterred vp by the law reygned in oure membres, to brynge forthe fruyte vnto deathe.

¹⁴ For we knowe that the lawe is spirituall but I am carnal, sold vnder synne,

²¹ I fynde then by the lawe that when I woulde do good, euyll is present with me.

²⁵ I thanke God thorowe Iesus Christe oure Lorde. So then I my selfe in my mynde serue the law of God, & in my flesh the lawe of synne.

² For the law of the spirite that bringeth lyfe through lyfe through Iesus Christe, hath delyuered me from the lawe of synne & death.

¹⁷ For the flesh lusteth contrarye to the spirite, and the spirite contrarye to the fleshe. These are contrarye one to the other, so that ye cannot do that which ye would.

¹¹ But thou which arte the man of GOD, flye suche thynges. Folowe ryghtuousnes. Godlynes, loue, pacyence and mekenes. ¹² Fyghte the good fyght of fayth. Laye hande on eternall lyfe, wherevnto thou arte called and hast professed a good professyon before manye wytnesses.

²⁵ the euyll in meakenes, and can informe them that resiste: yf that God at any tyme wyll geue them repentaunce for to know the trueth, ²⁶ that they may come to them selues agayne out of the snare of the deuyll, whiche are nowe taken of hym at hys wyll.

⁴ For ye haue not yet resysted vnto bloude sheding stryuynge agaynst synne.

² for in many thinges we synne all. Yf a man synne not in worde, the same is a perfect man and able to tame al the bodye.

¹ From whence commeth warre & fyghtynge amonge you: come they not hear hence? euen of your voluptuousnes, that rayne in youre membres.

¹¹ Dearely beloued, I beseche you as straungers and pylgremes, obstayne from fleshely lustes, which fyght agaynste the soule,
