¹⁷ I am ready to suffre trouble, and my heuinesse is euer in my sight.

⁶ I am wery of gronyng euery nyght wash I my bedde, and water my couche wyth my teares.

¹⁵ But in myne aduersitie they reioyse, & gather them together. Yea, the very lame come together agaynste me vnwares, makynge mowes at me, and ceasse not.

⁶ I am broughte into so greate trouble and mysery, that I go mournynge all the daye longe.

² In the tyme of my trouble I soughte the Lorde, I helde vp myne handes vnto him in the night season, for my soule refused all other comforte. ³ When I was in heuinesse, I thought vpon God: when my hert was vexed, then dyd I speake Selah.

³ He shalbe the most simple, and despysed of all, which yet hath good experience of sorowes & infyrmyties. We shall reken him so symple and so vyle, that we shall hyde our faces from hym. ⁴ Howbeit (of a trueth) he only taketh awaye oure infyrmyte, and beareth our payne: Yet we shal iudge him, as though he were plaged & caste doune of God: ⁵ where as he (notwithstanding) shal be wounded for oure offences, & smytten for oure wickednes. For the payne of oure punyshmente shalbe sayde vpon hym, and with hys strypes shall we be healed.

⁶ At the same tyme, sayeth the Lorde, wyll I gather vp the lame and the outcastes, and soche as I haue chastened: ⁷ & wyll geue yssue vnto the lame, and make of the out castes a greate people: and the Lorde hym selfe shalbe their kynge vpon the mount Sion, from this tyme forth for euermore.
