⁴ Let them be confounded & put to shame, that seke after my soule: let theym be turned back and brought to confusion, that ymagin mischiefe for me.

²³ Se therfore and knowe al the lourkynge places where he lourketh, and come againe to me wyth the certenty, and I wil go with you. And then yf he be in the lande, I wyl hunt him out with all the thousandes of Iuda.

¹⁰ And he answered: I haue bene thorow angry for the Lorde God of hostes sake. For the children of Israel haue forsake thy couenaunt, & haue broken doune thyne aultars and slayne the Prophetes with the swerde, and I onlye am lefte, and they seke my soule to haue it to.

¹⁷ Let me not be confounded, O Lorde, for I calle vpon the: lette the vngodlye rather be put to confusyon, and broughte vnto the hell. ¹⁸ Let the lieng lippes be put to silence which cruely, disdainefully, and despitefully speake against the rightuous.

²⁶ Let them be put to confusion & shame, that reioyse at my trouble: let them be clothed wt rebuke and dishonoure, that boost them selfes agaynst me.

¹² They that sought after my lyfe, and to do me euell, spake of lyes & ymagined disceate all the daye longe.

¹⁴ Let them be ashamed and confunded, that seke after my soule, to destroye it: let them fall backwarde and be put to confusion, that wish me euell. ¹⁵ Let them soone be broughte to shame, that crye ouer me, there there.

²⁴ My tongue talketh of thy righteousnesse all the daye longe, for they are confounded and brought vnto shame, that soughte to do me euell.

⁵ Let them be confounded & turned backewarde, as many as haue euell will at Syon.

²⁹ Therfore thy furiousnesse agaynst me, & thy pryde is come before me. I will put a ringe in thy nose, and a bridle byt in the chawes of the, & turne the aboute, euen the same waye thou comest.

⁵ But alas, howe happeneth it, that I se you so afrayed? why shryncke ye backe? wherfore are youre worthyes slayne? Yea they runne so fast away, that none of them loketh behind hym. Fearfulnesse is fall vpon euerychone of them sayeth the Lord.

¹⁹ and dishonoure me to my people, for an handfull of barleye, and for a pece of breade: when ye kyll the soules of them, that dye not, & promes lyfe to them, that lyue not: Thus ye dyssemble with my people, that beleueth youre lyes.

¹ When the morning was come, al the chief priestes & the elders of the people held a counsell agaynste Iesus, to put hym to death,

⁶ But assone as he had sayd vnto them: I am he, they went backwardes, and fell to the grounde.
