³ Who shall go vp into the hyll of the Lord? Or who shal remayne in his holy place?

³ Then Moses sayed vnto Aaron: this is that the Lorde spake saying: I wyl be sanctified in them that come nye me, & before all the people I wil be glorified. And Aaron helde hys peace.

¹² And when it was told Kynge Dauid howe that the Lorde had blessed the house of Obed Edom and all that pertayned vnto hym, because of the arck of God he went and brought the arcke of God from the house of Obed Edom vnto the cytye of Dauid wyth gladnes. ¹³ And euer when they that bare the arcke of the Lorde, had gone sixe passes, he offered an oxe and a fat shepe. ¹⁴ And Dauid daunsed before the Lorde wyth all hys myght in a lynnen Ephod gyrde vnto hym. ¹⁵ And Dauid & all the house of Israel brought the arcke of the Lorde wyth shoutyng & trompet blowyng. ¹⁶ And as the arcke of the Lorde came into the cytye of Dauid, Michol Sauls doughter loked thorowe a wyndowe, and saw Kynge Dauid spryng and daunse before the Lord, & therfore dyspysed hym in her hert. ¹⁷ And when they had brought in the arcke of the Lorde, & had set it euen in hys place, euen in the tabernacle that Dauid had prepared for it: Dauid offered burntofferynges and peaceofferynges before the Lorde,

¹ And Dauid made hym houses in the citie of Dauid, & prepared a place for the Arcke of God, & pitched for yt a tent.

²⁵ And Dauid and the elders of Israel & the Capitaines ouer thousandes went to fet the Arcke of the apoyntement of the Lorde: oute of the house of Obed Edom with gladnesse. ²⁶ And when God had holpe the Leuites that bare the Arcke of the apoyntement of the Lorde, they offered .vij. oxen and .vij. rammes. ²⁷ And Dauid had on him an albe of bysse, & so had the Leuites that bare the Arcke, and so had the syngers, and Conaniah the ruler of the songe & of the syngers. And Dauid had moreouer vpon him an Ephod of lynen. ²⁸ And al Israel brought the Arcke of the Lordes couenaunt wyth shoutynge and blowynge of hornes, & with trompettes and symbales that sounded, and wyth psalteries and harpes.

⁶ Yet haue I sette my kyng vpon my holy hyll of syon.

¹ A Psalme of Dauid. Lorde, who shal dwel in thy tabernacle? who shall reste vpon thy holy hyl?

⁴ Blessed is the man whom thou chosest and receauest vnto the, that he may dwell in thy courtes: he shalbe satisfied wyth the pleasures of thy house, euen of thy holy temple.

¹⁵ The hyll of Basan is Gods hyl, the hil of Basan is a plenteous hyl. ¹⁶ Why hoppe ye so, ye greate hylles? It pleaseth God to dwell vpon thys hyll yea the Lorde wyll abide in it for euer.

¹⁸ Thou art gone vp an hye, thou hast ledde captiuitie captiue, and receyued gyftes for men: Yea, euen for thyne enemyes, that they might dwell with the Lord God.

⁶⁸ Neuertheles, he chose the trybe of Iuda, euen the hyll of Syon which he loued. ⁶⁹ And there he buylded hys temple on hye, and layd the foundation of it like the ground that it myght perpetually endure.

¹³ For the Lord hath chosen Syon, to be an habitacyon for him selfe hath he chosen her. ¹⁴ This shalbe my rest, here wyll I dwel for I haue a delyte therin.

¹ Beholde, I wil sende my messaunger, which shall prepare the way before me: & the Lord whome, ye woulde haue, shall sone come to hys temple, yea, euen the messenger of the couenaunt, whome ye longe for. Beholde he commeth, sayeth the Lord of hostes

³⁶ Simon Peter sayed vnto hym. Lorde whyther goest thou? Iesus aunswered hym: Whether I go thou canste not folowe me now, but thou shalt folow me afterwarde.

¹⁷ Iesus sayd vnto her touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my father. But go to my brethren, & saye vnto them: I ascende vnto my father and youre father: to my God and your God.

⁸ Wherfore he sayth: He is gone vp on hye, and had led captiuitie captiue, and hath geuen gyftes vnto men. ⁹ That he ascended, what meaneth it, but that he also descended fyrste into the loweste parties of the earth? ¹⁰ He that descended, is euen the same also that ascended vp euen aboue all heauens, to fulfyll al thinges.

²² But ye are come vnto the mounte Syon, and to the cytye of the lyuyng God, the celestiall Ierusalem: and to an innumerable syghte of Angels, ²³ and vnto the congregacyon of the first borne sonnes, which are wrytten in heauen, and to God the iudge of all, and to the spyrytes of iuste and perfecte men, ²⁴ and to Iesus the medyatoure of the newe testament, and to the spryncklynge of bloude that speaketh better then the bloude of Abell.

²⁸ Wherfore yf we receyue a kingdom which is not moued, we haue grace, wherby we may serue God, and please hym wyth reuerence & Godly feare.
