⁶ But praysed be the Lord, which hath not geuen vs ouer for a praie vnto their teeth.

⁹ The enemye sayd: I wyl folowe and ouertake them, & wyll deuyde the spoyle: I wyll satysfye my lust vpon them: I wyll drawe my swerde, & myne hande shal destroy them. ¹⁰ Thou bluest with thy breth & the sea couered them, & they sancke as leed in the mighty waters.

³⁰ haply they haue found, & deuyde the spoyle: A mayde, ye two maydes for a pece: a spoyle of diuerse colours for Sisara, a spoyle of dyuerse coloures wyth brodered workes, dyuerse coloured browdered workes for the necke for a praye. ³¹ So perysh all thyne enemyes Lord: but they that loue the, let them be as the sunne rysyng in his might. And the lande had reste fourthye yeares.

²⁰ And yet I hope my bloude shal not fal to the earth before the face of the Lorde, though the kyng of Israel be come out to hunt a flee, as men hunt the partreges in the mountaynes.

⁹ From the vngodly that trouble me, fro myne enemyes which compasse my soule round about.

¹³ They thrust at me, that I myght fall, but the lorde was my helpe.

⁵ As for me I will be talkynge of thy worshyp, thy glory, thy prayse, and wonderous workes. ⁶ So that men shal speake of the myght of thy maruelous actes, and tell of thy greatenes.

¹⁴ My hande hathe founde out the hostes of the people, as it were arnest. And lyke as egges, that were layde here and there, are gathered togegether. So do I gather all countreyes. And there is no man, that darre be so bolde, as to touche a fether, that darre open his mouth, or ones whisper. ¹⁵ But doth the axe boost it selfe, agaynste hym, that he heweth therwyth, or doth the sawe make any krackynge, agaynst hym that ruleth it? That were euen lyke, as yf the roade dyd exalte it selfe, against him that beareth it: or as though the staffe shoulde magnyfye it selfe, as who saie: it were no wode. ¹⁶ Therfore shall the Lorde of Hostes sende him pouerte in his ryches, and burne vp hys power, as it were wyth a fyre. ¹⁷ But the lyght of Israell shalbe that fyre, and his Sanctuarye shalbe the flamme, and it shal kyndle, and burne vp his thornes and breers in one daye, ¹⁸ ye all the glory of his woodes and feldes shalbe consumed with body and soule. As for hym selfe, he shalbe as one chased away. ¹⁹ The trees also of his felde shalbe of suche a nombre, that a chylde may tell them.
