²² The wyckednesses of the vngodly shal catch him selfe, and with the snares of of his owne synnes shall he be trapped.

²³ But and yf ye wyl not do so, behold, ye synne agaynst the Lord: and be sure your synne wyll fynde you out.

¹⁵ He hath grauen & digged vp a pyt, but he shall fall hym selfe into the pitte that he hath made. ¹⁶ For hys vnhappinesse shall come vpon hys owne head, and hys wyckednes shal fal vpon hys owne pate.

¹⁵ As for the Heathen, thei are suncken doune in the pytte that they made: in the same nette which they spred out priuely, is their owne feete taken.

¹⁸ Yea, they themselfes laye wayte one for anothers bloud, & one of them wolde sley another.

³¹ Therfore shal they eate the frutes of their owne way, & be filled with their oune counsayls: ³² for the turning away of the vnwyse shal sley them, & the prosperitie of foles shalbe their owne destruccion.

³ The innocente dealyng of the iust shal leade them, but the vnfaithfulnesse of the despisers shalbe their owne destruccion

⁵ The rightuousnes of the innocent ordereth his way, but the vngodly shall fall in his owne wyckednesse.

²⁶ And I founde, that a woman is bytterrer then death: for she is a very angle, her herte is a net, and her handes are cheynes. Who so pleaseth God shall escape from her, but the synner wil be taken wt her.

¹⁹ Thyne owne wickednesse shall reproue the, and thy turnynge awaye shal condemne the: that thou maiest know and vnderstand, how euyl and hurtful a thinge it is, that thou hast forsaken thy Lorde thy God, and not feared him, sayeth the Lorde God of Hostes.

¹¹ Whordome, wine and drockennesse take the herte away. ¹² My people aske councell at their stockes, their staffes must tell them. For an whoryshe minde hath disceyued them, so that they committe fornycacyon agaynst their God. ¹³ They make sacrifices vpon the hye mountaynes, and burne their incense vpon the hylles, yea, amonge the okes, groues & bushes, for there are good shadowes Therfore your doughters are become harlottes, and youre spouses haue broken their wedlocke, ¹⁴ I wyll not punishe youre doughters for beynge defyled, & youre brydes that became whores: seinge the fathers them selues haue medled wt harlottes & offered wt vnthriftes: but the people that will not vnderstand, must be punished.

⁹ I wrote vnto you in an Epystle that ye shoulde not companye wyth fornicatours. ¹⁰ And I meant not at al of the fornicatours of this worlde, eyther of the couetous, or of extorsioners, eyther of the ydolaters: for then muste ye nedes haue gone oute of the world.

¹⁹ The dedes of the flesh are manyfeste, which are these aduoutrye, fornicacyon, vncleannes, wantonnes, ²⁰ Idolatrye wytchecrafte, hatred, varyaunce, zele, wrathe stryfe, sedityon, sectes, ²¹ enuiynge, murther, drounkennes, glottonye, and suche lyke: of the whiche I tell you before, as I haue tolde you in tymes past, that they whiche commytte suche thynges shall not enheryte the kingdome of God.

⁷ Be not deceyued, God is not mocked. For what soeuer a man soweth, that shal he reape. ⁸ He that soweth in hys fleshe: shall of the fleshe reape corrupcion. But he that soweth in the spyryte, shall of the spyryte reape lyfe euerlastynge.

⁵ For this ye knowe, that no whormonger, other vncleane persone, or couetous person, whyche is the worshypper of Images, hath anye inheritaunce in the kyngdome of Christe and of God. ⁶ Let no man deceiue you with vayne wordes. For thorowe suche thinges commeth the wrath of God vpon the children of vnbelefe.

⁴ Let wedlocke be had in pryce in all poyntes, and let the chambre be vndefyled: for whorekepers and aduouterers God wyll iudge.
