¹⁶ Thou shalte beare no false witnesse agaynst thy neyghboure.

¹ Thou shalt not accepte a vayne tale, nether shalt put thine hand wyth the wycked to be an vnryghteous wytnesse.

⁹ Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which had the ouer sight of the seruauntes of Saul and sayde: I sawe the sonne of Isai, when he came to Nob, to Ahimelech the sonne of Ahitob, ¹⁰ whyche asked councel of the lorde for him and gaue him vitayles, and the swerde of Goliath the Philistine also.

⁹ And she wrote in the letter sayinge: proclayme fastyng and set Naboth on hye among the people, ¹⁰ and set two vnthriftes before him: and let them testifye agaynst hym sayinge: thou dyddest curse bothe God and the king: & vpon that carie him out & stone hym to death. ¹¹ And the elders and nobles of the cities, whiche dwelt in hys citie, did as Iezabell had sent vnto them, and as it was written in the letter, whiche she had sent vnto them. ¹² They proclamed fastynge, and set Naboth an hye amonge the people, ¹³ and there came in two vnthriftye persones and sate before him. And the two vnthriftye persones wytnesseth agaynst Naboth before the people sayinge: Naboth dyd curse God and the kinge. And vpon the they caryed him out of the cytye and stoned him wyth stones to death.

³ Then sayde the Lorde vnto Sathan: hast thou not consydered my seruaunt Iob, how that he is an innocent and vertuous man soch one as feareth God, and extrueth euel, and that there is none lyke hym in the land? But thou mouedest me agaynst hym, to punyshe hym: yet is it in vayne, for he contynueth still in his godlynesse.

⁷ For they haue priuely layed their nette to destroye me without a cause, yea, & made a pytte for my soule, which I neuer deserued.

¹¹ False witnesses are rysen vp, and laye to my charge thinges that I know not.

⁵ A faithful witnesse will not dyssemble, but a false recorde wyll make a lye.

⁵ A false witnesse shall not remayne vnpunished, & he that speaketh lyes shal not escape.

⁹ A false witnesse shall not remayne vnpunished, & he that speaketh lyes shal perish.

²⁸ A false witnesse shall perish, but he that wilbe content to heare, shall alway haue power to speake him selfe.

¹⁸ Who so beareth false wytnesse agaynst hys neyghboure, he is a verye speare, a swearde, and a sharpe arowe.

⁵⁹ The chiefe priestes and the elders, and all the counsell, sought false wytnes agaynst Iesus, for to put hym to death, ⁶⁰ but founde none in so muche that when manye false wytnesses came yet founde they none. At the laste came two false wytnesses,

²³ Then sayed the debitie: what euyll hath he done? And they cried the more sayinge: let hym be crucifyed.

²⁵ euen that the saiyng might be fulfilled that is writen in their lawe: they hated me without a cause.

²⁵ Wherfore put awaye lyinge, and speake euerye man trueth vnto hys neyghboure, for as muche as we are membres one of another.

⁹ Lye not one to another, that the olde man wyth hys workes be put of,

⁸ But the fearful and vnbeleuing, & the abhominable, & murtherers, & whoremongers, & sorcerers, & ydolaters, & al lyars shall haue their parte in the lake which burneth wt fyre & brymstone, which is the seconde death.

¹⁵ For without shal be dogges & inchaunters, & whoremongers, and murtherers & Idolaters and whosoeuer loueth or maketh leasynges.
