¹³ The herte is sorowfull euen in a laughter, and the ende of mirth is heuinesse.

⁴ But at the laste she is as bytter as worme wode, and as sharpe as a two edged sweard.

² in so much that I sayd vnto laughter: thou art mad, and to myrthe: what doest thou?

¹⁰ and loke what soeuer myne eyes desyred, I let them haue it: and wherein soeuer my herte delited or had any pleasure, I wyth helde it not from it. ⁵ It is better to geue eare to the chastenyng of a wyse man, then to heare the song of fooles. ⁶ For the laughing of fooles is lyke the crackinge of thornes vnder a pot, And that is but a vayne thing.

⁹ Be glad then (O thou yong man) in thy youth, and let thine herte be mery in thy yonge daies: folowe the wayes of thine owne herte, and the luste of thyne eyes: but be thou sure, that God shall brynge the into iudgement for all these thinges.

²⁵ But Abraham sayd vnto hym. Sonne, remembre that thou in thy lyfe tyme, receyuedest thy pleasure, and contrarywyse Lazarus payne. Nowe therfore is he conforted, and thou arte punyshed.

⁹ Suffer afflictyons: sorowe ye and wepe. Let youre laughter be turned to mornynge and youre ioye to heauynes.

⁷ And as muche as she glorified her selfe and lyued wantonly, so muche poure ye in for her of punishment, & sorowe, for she said in her herte: I sytte being a quene and am no wydowe, and shall se no sorowe. ⁸ Therfore shal her plages come at one daye, death, and sorowe, and honger, and she shalbe brente wyth fyre, for stronge is the Lorde God, whiche iudgeth her.
