⁷ Some men are rych, thoughe they haue nothynge: againe some men are pore hauing greate ryches.

²⁴ Some man geueth out hys goodes, & is the rycher, but the nygard (hauyng ynough) will departe from nothynge, and yet is euer in pouerty.

⁹ A simple man which laboureth & worketh, is better then one that is gorgyous and wanteth bread.

¹¹ Hastely gotten goodes are sone spent, but they that be gathered together with the hand, shall increase

¹ Sende thy vyttuayls ouer the waters, and so shalt thou finde them after many yeares. ² Geue it awaye amonge seuen or eyghte, for thou knoweste not what mysery shall come vpon earth.

²¹ So is it with hym that gathereth ryches, and is not ryche in God.

³³ Sell that ye haue, and geue almes. And make you bagges whiche were not old, and treasure that faileth not in heauen, where no these cometh, neyther mothe corrupteth.

¹¹ The Pharyse stode and prayed thus with hym selfe: God I thanke the, that I am not as other men are, extorsioners, vniust, aduouterers, or as this publican, ¹² I faste twyse in the weke, I geue tythe of all that I possesse. ¹³ And the Publicane stode a farre of, and woulde not lyft vp his eyes to heauen, but smote his brest, saiynge: God be mercifull to me a synner. ¹⁴ I tell you: this man departed home to hys house iustifyed more then the other. For euerye man that exalteth hym selfe, shalbe brought lowe. And he that humbleth hym selfe, shalbe exalted.

⁸ Now ye are ful: now ye are made rych: ye reigne as kinges without vs: and I would to God ye dyd reygne that we might reygne wyth you.

¹⁰ We are foles for Christes sake and ye are wise thorow Christe. We are weake, and ye are stronge. Ye are honorable, and we are despised. ¹¹ Euen vnto this daye we honger and thyrst, and are naked, and are boffetted wyth fystes, and haue no certayne dwellinge place,

⁷ But we haue thys treasure in earthen vessels that the excellent power of it myght appeare to be of God, and not of vs.

¹⁰ as sorowyng, & yet alway mery: as poore, and yet make many ryche: as hauynge nothynge, and yet possessynge all thynges.

⁵ Harken my deare beloued brethren. Hath not God chosen the pore of thys world, which are ryche in faythe, and heyres of the kyngedome whiche he promysed to them that loue hym?

¹⁹ They promis them libertie, and are them selues the bonde seruauntes of corrupcyon. For of whomsoeuer a man is ouer come, vnto the same is he in bondage.

⁹ I knowe thy workes and tribulacion and pouertye, but thou art rych: And I know the blasphemy of them, whiche call them selues Iewes and are not, but are the congregacion of Sathan.

¹⁷ because thou art ryche and increased wyth goodes, and hast nede of nothinge, and knowest not howe thou art wretched and miserable, poore, blind and naked.
