¹⁵ Ye of Philippos knowe that in the beginninge of the Gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no congregacion beare parte wyth me, as concerning, geuinge, and receiuinge, but ye onely.

¹⁶ But he sayde: as surely as the Lord lyueth, before whome I stand, I wil receyue none. And the other would haue constrayned him to receyue: but he woulde not do it.

²⁰ Gihezi the seruaunt of Elizeus the man of God, sayd: se, my mayster hath kepte of, thys Syryen Naaman that he wolde not receyue of hys hand that he offered. As surely as the Lorde lyueth I wyl runne after hym, and take somewhat.

⁴⁰ And they went oute of the pryson, and entred into the housse, of Lydya, and when they had sene the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.

⁸ I robbed other congregacyons, and toke wages of them, to do you seruyce with al. ⁹ And when I was present with you, and had nede, I was greuous to no man, for that whiche was lackynge vnto me, the brethren whiche came from Macedonia, supplyed: and in all thynge I kept my selfe that I shoulde not be greuous to you, & so wyl I kepe my selfe. ¹⁰ Yf the trueth of Christe be in me, thys reioysynge shall not be taken from me in the regyons of Achaia. ¹¹ Wherfore? Because I loue you not? God knoweth. ¹² Neuerthelesse what I do, that wyll I do, to cut awaye occasyon from them which desyre occasyon, that they myght be founde lyke vnto vs in that wherein they reioyce.

¹¹ I am made a fole in bostynge my selfe. Ye haue compelled me: I ought to haue bene commended of you. For in nothynge was I inferyor vnto the chiefe Apostles. Thoughe I be nothynge ¹² yet the tokens of an Apostle were wroughte amonge you with al pacience: with signes, and wonders and myghty dedes. ¹³ For what is it wherein ye were inferyours vnto other congregacyons except it be therein that I was not greuous vnto you. Forgeue me thys wrong done vnto you. ¹⁴ Behold the now thyrde time I am redy to come vnto you, and yet wyll I not be greuouse vnto you. For I seke not yours, but you. Also the chyldren ought not to lay vp for the fathers & mothers but the fathers a mothers for the chyldren. ¹⁵ I wyll very gladly bestowe, and wyll be bestowed for youre soules: thoughe the more I loue you, the lesse I am loued agayne.
