⁶ euen as the brod valeys, and as gardens by ryuers syde, as the tentes whyche the Lodre hath pytched & as cypres trees vpon the water.

⁸ The Lorde God also planted a garden in Eden from the beginning, and there he sette man whom he had formed. ⁹ And the Lord god made to sprynge out of the erth, all maner trees bewtyfull to the syght and pleasant to eate, and the tree of lyfe in the myddes of the garden: and also the tree of knowledge of good and euell. ¹⁰ And there sprange a ryuer out of Eden to water the garden, & thence deuyded it self, & grewe in to foure pryncypall waters.

¹⁰ And Lot lyft vp hys eyes, and beheld al the contry about Iordane, whych was a plentuous contry of water euery wher, before the Lorde destroyed Sodome & Gomorha, euen as the garden of the Lorde, & as the Land of Egypt tyll thou come to Zoar.

³ Suche a man is lyke a tree planted by the watersyde, that bringeth forthe hys frute in due season. His leaues shall not fall af, & loke whatsoeuer he doth, it shall prospere.

⁸ All thy garmentes are lyke myrre, Aloes & Cassia, when thou commest out of thine yuerye palaces in thy beutifull glory.

¹² The righteous shall florish lyke a palme tree, and growe like a Cedre of Libanus. ¹³ Suche as be planted in the house of the Lorde, be frutefull, ¹⁴ plenteous and grene.

¹⁶ The trees of the Lord are ful of sappe, euen the trees of Libamis whiche he hathe planted.

¹² Thou arte a well kepte garden, O my syster, my spouse, thou art a well kepte waterspringe, a sealed well. ¹³ The frutes that sprute in the, are like a very Paradyse of pomegranates with swete frutes: ¹⁴ as Cypresse, Nardus, Saffron, Calmus, and all the trees of Libanus: Myrre, Aloes, and all the best spyces. ¹⁵ Thou art a well of gardens, a well of lyuyng waters, whyche reune doune from Libanus.

¹¹ I went doune into the nutte garden, to se what grew by the brokes, to loke if the vineyarde florished, & if the pomegranates were shot forth.

¹⁹ I plante in the waste grounde trees of Cedre, Boxe, Myrre & Olyues. And in the drye I set Fyre trees, Elmes, and Hawthornes together.

¹¹ The Lord shal euer be thy gyde, and satisfye the desire of thyne herte, and fyl thy bones with marye. Thou shalt be like a freshwatred garden, and lyke the founteyne of water, that neuer leaueth running.

¹⁸ Let my persecuters be confounded, but not me: let them be afrayed, and not me. Thou shalt bringe vpon them the tyme of their plage, and shalt destroye them right sore.

¹² And they shal come, & reioyce vpon the hyll of Syon, and shall haue plenteousnes of goodes, whiche the Lorde shall geue them: Namely, wheate, wyne, oyle yonge shepe & calues. And theyr concyence shalbe as well watred garden, for they shal no more be hongrye.

³ Beholde, Assur was lyke a Cedre tree vpon the mount of Lybanus wyth fayre braunches, so thicke, that he gaue shadowes & shote oute very hye. Hys toppe reached vnto the cloudes. ⁴ The waters made hym great, & the depe set hym vp an hye. Rounde aboute the rotes of hym ranne there floudes of water, he sente oute hys lytle ryuers vnto al the trees of the felde.

¹² By this ryuer vpon both the sydes of the shore, there shall growe al maner of fruiteful trees, whose leaues shall not fall of, nether shall their fruyte peryshe: but euer be rype at their monethes, for their water ronneth out of their Sanctuary. His fruite is good to eate and hys leaf profitable for medycyne.

¹⁸ Then shall the mountaines droppe swete wyne, and the hylles shall flowe with mylcke. All the ryuers of Iuda shall haue water ynough, & out of the Lordes house there shal flowe a spryng to water the broke of Sitim:
