² Then the Lord sayed vnto hym: what is that in thyne hand? and he said a rodde.

¹⁷ and take thys rodde in thy hande, wherwyth thou shalt do myracles.

⁵ And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of Ruben, Elizur the sonne of Sedeur: ⁶ of Simeon, Selumiel the sonne of Sury Sadai: ⁷ of the trybe of Iuda Nahesson the sonne of Aminadab: ⁸ of Isachar, Nathanael the sonne of Zuar: ⁹ of Zabulon, Eliab the sonne of Helon. ¹⁰ Amonge the chyldren of Ioseph: of Ephraim, Elisama the sonne of Amihud: of Manasse, Gamaliel the sonne of Pedazur: ¹¹ of BenIamin, Abidan the sonne of Gedeoni: ¹² of Dan, Ahiezer the sonne of Ammi Sadai: ¹³ of Aser, Pagyel the sonne of Ocran: ¹⁴ of Gad, Elisaph the sonne of Deguel: ¹⁵ of Nephthaly, Ahira the sonne of Enan. ¹⁶ These were the councelers of the congregation & Lordes in the tribes of theyr fathers and captaynes ouer thousandes in Israel.

³ On the East syde toward the rysynge of the Sunne shall they of the standarte of the host of Iuda pytch wyth theyr armes: And Nahesson the sonne of Aminadab shalbe captayne ouer the sonnes of Iuda. ⁴ And his host and the numbre of theym .lxxiiij. thousande and .vi. hundred. ⁵ And next vnto hym shall the trybe of Izachar pytche and Nathaneell the sonne of Zuar captayne ouer the children of Izachar, ⁶ his host and the numbre of them .liiij. thousand .iiij. hundred. ⁷ And then the trybe of Zabulon: wt Eliab the sonne of Helon, captayne ouer the chyldren of Zabulon, ⁸ and hys host in the numbre of theym .lvij. thousand & .iiij. hundred. ⁹ So that all they that pertayne vnto the hoste of Iuda are an hundred thousand .lxxxvi. thousand and .iiij. hundred, in theyr companyes: and these shall go into the forefronte, when they iourney. ¹⁰ And on the southsyde, the standarte of the host of Ruben shall lye wyth theyr companyes & the captayne ouer the sonnes of Ruben Elizur the Sonne of Sedeur, ¹¹ and hys host and the numbre of them .xlvi. thousand & .v. hundred. ¹² And fast by hym shal the trybe of Symeon pytche, and the captayne ouer the sonnes of Symeon. Salumiel the sonne of Zury Sadai, ¹³ and hys host and the numbre of them .lix. thousand and .iij. hundred. ¹⁴ And the trybe of Gad also: And the captaine ouer the sonnes of Gad, Eliasaph the sonne of Deguell ¹⁵ hys hoste and the numbre of them .xlv. thousande sixe hundred and fifty. ¹⁶ Soo that all the numbre that pertayne vnto the hoste of Ruben, are an hundred thousande .li. thousande .iiij. hundred and fyfte wt theyr companyes, and they shall be the seconde in the iourney. ¹⁷ And the tabernacle of wytnesse wyth the host of the Leuites, shall goo in the myddes of the hostes: as they lye in theyr tentes, euen so shall they procede in the iourney, euerye man in hys quarter about the standartes. ¹⁸ On the weste syde the standarte and the host of Ephraim shal lye with their companyes. ² The Lord shal sende the rod of thy power out of Sion; be thou ruler euen in the myddest amonge thyne enemyes.

³ That the rodd of the vngodly come not into the lot of the righteous, lest the righteous put their hande vnto wickednesse.

¹⁴ And there is a fyre gone out of her stalckes, which hath brent vp her braunches and her frute: so that she hath no mo stronge stalckes, to be staues for offycers. This is a pyteous and miserable thynge.

¹⁰ Sharpened is it for the slaughter, & scoured that it may be bright. O, the destroyinge staf of my sonne, shall bringe doune all wod.

¹³ Smyte thou vpon the thyghe, for wherfore shoulde not the plage & staf of iudgement come?

¹⁶ thou sonne of man, take a stycke and wryte vpon it: Vnto Iuda & to the chyldren of Israel his companyons. Then take another sticke, & write vpon it: Vnto Ioseph the stock of Ephraim, & to all the housholde of Israell his companyons. ¹⁷ And then, take both these together in thyne hande, so shall there be one stycke therof. ¹⁸ Now yf the chyldren of thy people saye vnto the: wylt thou not shewe vs, what thou meanest by these? ¹⁹ Then geue them this answere: thus sayeth the Lorde God: beholde, I wyll take the stock of Ioseph, which is in the hande of Ephraim & of the tribes of Israell his felowes, & will put them to the stock of Iuda, & make them one stocke, & they shall be one in my hande. ²⁰ And the two styckes where vpon thou wrytest, shalt thou haue in thyne hande, that they may se,

¹⁴ Therfore fede thy people wyth thy rodde, the flocke of thyne herytage which dwell desolate in the woodde, that they maye be fedde vpon the mounte of Charmell, Basan & Galaad as afore tyme.
