¹⁶ This shall the heathen se, and be ashamed for all theyr power, so that they shal laye theyr hande vpon theyr mouthe, and stoppe theyr eares.

⁵ Marck me well, be abasshed, and laye youre hande vpon youre mouth.

⁹ when the Princes lefte of their talkinge, & layed their hande to their mouthe: ¹⁰ when the mighty kepte styll their voice, and when their tonges cleaued to the rofe of their mouthes.

⁴ Beholde, I am to vyle a personne, to aunswere the, therfore wyll I laye my hand vpon my mouth.

² Then shal our mouth be filled wyth laughter, and oure tonge with ioye. Then shall it be sayd among the Heathen: the Lord hath done greate thynges for them.

¹¹ Lorde, they wyll not se thyne hye hande, but they shall se it, and be confounded: when thou shalte deuoure them with the wrathe of the people, & wyth the fyre of thyue enemyes.

¹⁵ Euen so shall the multitude of the Gentyles loke vnto hym, & the kinges shall shut theyr mouthes before hym. For they that haue not bene tolde of hym, shall se hym, and they that hearde nothynge of hym, shall beholde hym.

¹⁸ For I wyl come to gather all people and tonges wt their workes and ymaginacyons: these shall come, and se my glory.

²³ Thus wyll I be magnifyed, honoured, and knowne amonge the Heathen: that they maye be sure, how that I am the Lorde.

¹⁷ And thou sonne of man: thus sayth the Lorde God: Speake vnto all the foules and euery byrde, yee and to all the wylde beastes of the felde: heape you together and come, gather you rounde aboute vpon my slaughter, that I haue slayne for you: euen a greate slaughter vpon the mountaynes of Israell: eate flesh, and drincke bloude. ¹⁸ Ye shall eate the flesh of the worthies, and drynke the bloude of the prynces of the lande: of the wethers, of the lambes of the goates, and of the oxen that be al slayne at Basan. ¹⁹ Eate the fat youre belyfull, & dryncke bloud, tyll ye be dronken of the slaughter, whyche I haue slayne vnto you. ²⁰ Fyll you at my table, with horses and stronge horsmen: with captaynes and all men of warre, sayeth the Lorde God. ²¹ I wyll bringe my glorye also amonge the Gentyles, that all the Heathen maye se my iudgement, that I haue kepte, and my hande which I haue layed vpon them:

⁸ Yee the resydue of Iacob shalbe amonge the Gentyles and the multitude of people, as the lyon amonge the beastes of the wod, and as the Lyons whelpe amonge a flocke of shepe: whyche (when he goeth thorowe) treadeth downe, teareth in peces, and there is no man that can helpe.

²⁰ Thus sayeth the Lorde of hostes: There shal yet come people, and the inhabiters of many cities: ²¹ and they that dwell in one citie, shal go to another sayeng: Vp, let vs go, and pray before the Lord, let vs seke the Lorde of Hostes, I will go with you: ²² yea much people and mightie heathen shall come and seke the Lorde of Hostes at Ierusalem, & to pray before the Lorde. ²³ Thus sayeth the Lorde of Hostes: In that tyme shal ten men (out of al maner of languages of the Gentiles) take one Iew by the hemme of his garment, and saye: we wyl go with you, for we haue hearde, that God is amonge you.

⁹ At the same tyme wil I go about to destroy al suche people as come againste Ierusalem.

¹⁹ Yea and we knowe that whatsoeuer the law sayeth, he saith it to them which are vnder the lawe. That all mouthes maye be stopped, and all the world be subdued to God,

¹⁸ And the nacyons were angrye, and thy wrath is come, and the tyme of the dead that they shoulde be iudged and that thou shouldeste geue rewarde vnto thy seruauntes the Prophetes and saynctes, and to them that feare thy name small and greate, and shouldeste destroye them, whyche destroye the earth.
