¹⁰ The tyme shall come also, sayeth the Lord, that I wyll take thyne horses from the, and destroye thy charettes.

⁷ Some put their trust in charettes, & some in horses: but we will remembre the name of the Lorde oure God. ⁸ They are broughte doune and fallen, but we are rysen and stande vp right.

¹⁶ A kynge is not helped by hys owne great hoost, neyther is a giaunte saued thorow the myght of hys owne strength. ¹⁷ A horse is but a vayne thing to saue a man, it is not the power of hys strengthe that can delyuer hym.

⁷ As soone as youre lande was full of syluer and golde, and no ende of youre treasure: so soone as youre lande was full of stronge horses and no ende of youre charettes:

²³ The hylles fal, and al the hye pryde of the mountaynes, but the healthe of Israel standeth onely vpon God oure Lorde.

⁷ Neuerthelesse I wyll haue mercy vpon the house of Iuda, and will saue them, euen thorow the Lord their God. But I wyll not delyuer them thorowe anye bowe, swearde, battel, horses, or horsemen.

³ Assur shalbe no more oure helper, nether wyl we ryde vpon horses any more. As for the worckes of our handes, we wil no more cal vpon them: For it is thou that arte oure God, thou shewest euer mercye vnto the fatherlesse.

¹⁰ I wil rote out the charrettes from Ephraim, & the horse from Ierusalem, the battel bowes shalbe destroyed. He shall geue the doctryne of peace vnto the heathen, & his dominion shal be from the one syde to the other, and from the flundes to the endes of the worlde.
