¹¹ Iesus stode before the debitie: and the debytie axed hym saying: Art thou the Kynge of the Iewes? Iesus sayed vnto hym: Thou sayest,

² sayinge. Where is he that is borne kinge of Iewes? We haue sene his star in the east, and are come to worshyppe hym.

¹⁸ And ye shalbe brought to the head rulers and kinges for my sake, in witnes to them & to the gentyls.

²⁵ It is ynough for the discyple to be as his master is, and that the seruaunt be as hys Lorde is. If they haue called the good man of the house him selfe belzebub: how muche more shal they call them of his housholde so?

²⁵ Then Iudas whiche betrayed him, answered and sayde: is it I mayster? He sayed vnto hym: thou hast sayed.

⁶⁴ Iesus sayd to him thou hast sayed. Neuertheles I say vnto you, hereafter shall ye se the sonne of men sittynge on the ryght hand of power, and come in the cloudes of the skye.

⁶² And Iesus sayed: I am. And ye shall se the sonne of man sit on the ryght hande of power, and come in the cloudes of heauen.

² And Pylate axed hym: arte thou the kynge of the Iewes? And he aunswered and sayde vnto hym: thou sayest it. ³ And the hyghe Priestes accused him of manye thynges. ⁴ Wherfore Pylate axeth hym agayne, saying: Answerest thou nothyng? beholde how manye thinges they laye vnto thy charge: ⁵ Iesus yet aunswered neuer a worde, so that Pylate meruayled.

² And they began to accuse hym saiynge: We haue founde thys felowe peruertinge the people & forbiddinge to paye tribute to Cesar, saiynge: that he is Christ a kinge. ³ And Pylate apposed him saiynge: art thou the kynge of the Iewes? He aunswered him and sayde: thou sayest it.

²⁹ Pylate then wente oute vnto them, and sayde: what accusacion bringe ye agaynste this man? ³⁰ They aunswered, and sayed vnto him. If he were not an euyli doer, we woulde not haue delyuered him vnto the. ³¹ Then sayed Pilate vnto them: take ye him, and iudge hym after your owne lawe. Then the Iewes sayed vnto hym: It is not laufull for vs to put any man to deat ³² That the wordes of Iesus might be fulfylled, whiche he spake, signifiynge what death he shoulde dye. ³³ Then Pilate entred into the iudgemente hall agayne, and called Iesus, and sayd vnto hym: arte thou the kynge of the Iewes? ³⁴ Iesus aunswered: saiyest thou that of thy self, or dyd other tell it the of me? ³⁵ Pylate aunswered Am I a Iewe? Thyne owne nacyon and hye priestes haue delyuered the vnto me, What hast thou done? ³⁶ Iesus aunswered my kingdome is not of thys worlde. If my kingdome were of thys worlde, then woulde my mynisters surely fyght, that I shoulde not be delyuered to the Iewes, but now is my kyngdom not from hence. ³⁷ Pilate sayed to him: Arte thou a kynge then? Iesus aunswered: Thou sayest that I am a kynge. For thys cause was I borne, and for thys cause came I into the worlde, that I shoulde beare wytnes vnto the trueth. And al that are of the trueth heare my voyce. ³⁸ Pylate sayde vnto hym: what thynge is trueth? And when he had sayd that, he wente oute agayne to the Iewes, and sayd vnto them: I fynd in him no cause at al.
