²⁰ Then came he that had receyued .v. talentes, and brought other .v. talentes, sayinge: maister thou delyuerest vnto me fyue talentes beholde I haue gained with them fyue talentes mo.

¹⁶ Then came the fyrste saiynge: Lorde, thy pounde hath encreased ten pounde. ¹⁷ And he sayde vnto hym. Well good seruaunte, because thou waste faythful in a very lytell thynge, take thou authoritye ouer ten cities.

²⁴ But none of these thinges moue me: neyther is my lyfe dere vnto my selfe: that I myght fulfyl my course with ioye, and the ministracyon whiche I haue receyued of the Lord Iesus, to testifye the gospell of the grace of God.

¹⁰ But by the grace of God I am that I am. And his grace which is in me, was not in vaine, but I laboured more aboundantly then they al, not I but the grace of God which is with me.

²⁹ Wherin I also labour and stryue euen as farforth as his workinge worketh in me mightely.

¹ I testifye therfore before God, & before the Lord Iesu Christe, which shall iudge quycke and deade in hys appearyng in his kyngedome, ² preache the word, be feruent, be it in season or out of season. Improue, rebuke, exhorte, wyth all long suffering and doctryne. ³ For the tyme wyll come, when they wyll not suffer wholsome doctryne: but after theyr owne lustes shall they (whose eares ytch) get them an heape of teachers, ⁴ & shal turne theyr eares from the trueth, and shalbe geuen vnto fables. ⁵ But watche thou in all thynges, and suffre aduersitye and do the work of an Euangelist, fulfyll thyne offyce vnto the vtmost. ⁶ For I am now ready to be offered, and the tyme of my departynge is at hande. ⁷ I haue fought a good fyght, and haue fulfylled my course, and haue kepte the fayth. ⁸ From henceforth is layde vp for me a croune of ryghtuousnes which the Lorde that is a ryghtuous iudge shall geue me at that daye: not to me only, but vnto all them that loue hys comynge.

¹⁸ Yea and a man myghte saye: Thou haste faythe, and I haue dedes: Shewe me thy faith by thy dedes, and I wyll shew the my faythe by my dedes.
