²² yea, and except those dayes should be shortened, there shoulde no fleshe be saued: but for the chosens sake, those daies shalbe shortened.

¹³ Neuertheles, the tenthe part shall remayne there in, for it shall conuerte and be frutefull. And lykewyse as the Terebyntes and Oketrees brynge forthe theyr frutes, so shall the holye sede haue frute.

⁸ Moreouer thus sayeth the Lord: lyke as when one would gather holy grapes, men say vnto him: breake it not of for it is holy: euen so wyll I do also for my seruauntes sake, that I wyll not destroye them all. ⁹ But I wyl take a sede oute of Iacob, and out of Iuda one, to take possession of my hyl. My chosen shal possesse these thinges, and my seruauntes shal dwell there.

⁸ And it shal come to passe (saieth the Lord) that in all the land two partes shalbe roted oute, but the thirde parte shall remayne therin

² for I will gather together al the heathen, to fighte agaynste Ierusalem, so that the city shalbe woune, the houses spoyled, & the wemen defiled. The half of the city shal go away into captiuite, & the residue of the people shal not be caried out of the cyty.

¹⁴ For manye are called and fewe be chosen.

²⁴ For there shall aryse false Christes, and false prophetes, and shall do great myracles and wonders. In so much that if it were possyble the very electe should be deceiued.

³¹ And he shall sende his aungels with the greate voyce of a trompe, and they shall gader together his chosen from the foure windes, and from the one ende of the worlde to the other.

²⁰ And except that the Lord shoulde shorten those dayes, no man shoulde be saued. But for the electes sake which he hath chosen, he hath shortened those dayes.

⁷ And shall not God aduenge his electe, which crye daye and nyghte vnto hym, ye though he defarre them?

¹¹ yer the children were borne, when they had neither done good nor bad: that the purpose of God whiche is by election, might stand, it was sayed vnto her, not by the reason of workes, but by grace of the caller:

²⁵ I woulde not that thys secrete shoulde be hyd from you my brethren (leste ye should be wyse in youre owne conceptes) that partelye blyndenes is happened in Israell, vntyll the fulnes of the gentyls be come in: ²⁶ and so al Israel shalbe saued. As it is wrytten: There shal come oute of Syon he that doeth delyuer, and shall turne away the vngodlynes of Iacob. ²⁷ And this is my couenaunte vnto them, when I shall take awaye theyr synnes. ²⁸ As concernynge the Gospell, they are ennemyes for youre sakes: but as touchynge the eleccyon, they are beloued for the fathers sakes. ²⁹ For verelye the giftes and callyng of god are suche, that it cannot repente hym of them, ³⁰ for loke as ye in time passed, haue not beleued God, yet haue nowe obtayned mercy thorow theyr vnbelefe: ³¹ euen so nowe haue they not beleued the mercye whiche is happened vnto you, that they also maye obtayne mercy.

¹⁰ Here fore I suffre all thynges, for the electes sakes, that they myghte also obtayne the saluacyon, which is in Christe Iesus, with eternal glory.
