¹⁹ So then when the Lorde had spoken vnto them: he was receyued into heauen, and is set doune on the ryght hande of God.

¹ A Psalme of Dauyd. The Lorde sayde vnto my Lord: Syt thou on my ryght hande, vntyll I make thyne enemies thy fotestole.

¹⁸ And Iesus came and spake vnto them saiynge: all power is geuen vnto me in heauen and in earth. ¹⁹ Go therfore & teache all nacyons, baptisyng them in the name of the father, and the sonne, & the holye ghoste. ²⁰ Teachyng then to obserue all thynges whatsoeuer I commaunded you, And lo I am with you alwaye, euen vntyll the ende of the worlde.

⁵¹ And it folowed when the tyme was come, that he shoulde be receyued vp, then he set his face to go to Ierusalem,

⁴⁴ And he sayde vnto them: These are the wordes which I spake vnto you, whyle I was yet with you: that al muste be fulfilled which was written of me in lawe of Moyses and in the prophetes and in the Psalmes. ⁴⁵ Then opened he their wittes, that they myght vnderstande the scriptures, ⁴⁶ and sayde vnto them: Thus is it written, and thus it behoued Christ to suffer: and to ryse agayne from death the thirde day, ⁴⁷ and that repentaunce and remissyon of synnes shoulde be preached in his name amonge all nacions. And must begynne at Ierusalem. ⁴⁸ And ye are witnesses of these thinges. ⁴⁹ And beholde, I wyl sende the promes of my father vpon you. But tary ye in the citye of Ierusalem, vntyll ye be endewed with power from an hye. ⁵⁰ And he led them out into Bethany, and lift vp his handes, & blessed them. ⁵¹ And it came to passe, as he blessed them, he departed from them, and was caryed vp into heauen.

⁶² What and if ye shall se the sonne of man ascende vp wher he was before?

¹ Before the feast of Easter when Iesus knew that hys houre was come, that he shulde depart oute of thys worlde vnto the father. When he loued his which were in the worlde, vnto the ende he loued them.

²⁸ I wente oute from the father, and came into the world, and I leaue the world agayne, and go to the father.

⁴ I haue glorifyed the on the earthe. I haue finyshed the worke whiche thou gauest me to do. ⁵ And nowe glorifye me thou father with thyne owne selfe with the glorye which I had with the, yer the worlde was

¹³ Nowe come I to the, and these wordes speake I in the worlde, that they myghte haue my ioye full in them.

¹⁷ Iesus sayd vnto her touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my father. But go to my brethren, & saye vnto them: I ascende vnto my father and youre father: to my God and your God.

¹⁵ When they had dyned. Iesus sayd to Simon Peter: Simon Ioanna, louest thou me more then these? He sayd vnto him: ye Lorde thou knowest that I loue the. He saide vnto him: fede me lambes.

²² Iesus sayde vnto him: Yf I wyll haue him to tarye tyll I come, what is that to the? folow thou me.

² vntyll the day in whyche he was taken vp after that he, through the holy ghost, had geuen commaundementes vnto the Apostles whiche he had chosen: ³ to whom also he shewed him selfe aliue after his passion by many tokens, apperynge vnto them fourty dayes, & speakinge of the kyngdome of God,

⁹ And when he had spoken these thynges whyle they beheld, he was taken vp, and a cloud receiued him vp out of their sighte, ¹⁰ And while they loked stedfastlye vp to heauen as he went, beholde two men stode by them in whyt apparell, ¹¹ whyche also sayde: ye men of Galile, why stande ye gasynge vp into heauen? This same Iesus which is taken from you into heauen, shal so come, euen as ye haue sene hym go into heauen.

³³ Sence nowe that he by the ryght hand of God is exalted, and hath receiued of the father the promyse of the holy ghost, he hath shed forth, that whyche ye now se and heare.

²¹ whiche he must receiue heauen, vntyl the tyme that al thinges (which God hath spoken by the mouthe of all hys holye Prophetes sence the worlde beganne) be restored agayne.

⁵⁵ But he beynge full of the holye ghoste: loked vp stedfastly wyth his eyes into heauen, and sawe the glorye of God, & Iesus standynge on the ryghte hand of God, ⁵⁶ & sayde: beholde, I se the heauens open, and the sonne of man standynge on the ryght hande of God.

³⁴ who then shall condempne? It is Christe whyche is dead, ye rather which is rysen agayne, which is also on the right hande of God, and maketh intercession for vs.

²⁴ Then commeth the ende when he hath delyuered vp the kyngedome to God the father, when he hath put doune all rule, authoritie, and power. ²⁵ For he muste reigne tyll he haue put all hys enemies vnder his fete.

²⁰ whiche he wrought in Christe, when he raysed hym from the dead, and set hym on hys ryght hande in heauenly thynges, ²¹ aboue all rule, power, and myghte, and domynyon, and aboue all names that are named, not in thys worlde onely, but also in the worlde to come, ²² and hath put all thynges, vnder hys fete, and hath made hym aboue all thynges the heade of the congregacyon,

⁸ Wherfore he sayth: He is gone vp on hye, and had led captiuitie captiue, and hath geuen gyftes vnto men. ⁹ That he ascended, what meaneth it, but that he also descended fyrste into the loweste parties of the earth? ¹⁰ He that descended, is euen the same also that ascended vp euen aboue all heauens, to fulfyll al thinges. ¹¹ And the very same made some Apostles, some Prophetes, some Euangelistes, some sheperdes, some teachers,

¹ If ye be then rysen agayn with Christ seke those thinges which are aboue where Christe sitteth on the right hand of God.

¹⁶ And wythout naye greate is that mysterye of godlynes: God was shewed in the fleshe, was iustified in the spirite, was sene of aungels, was preached vnto the gentils, was beleued on in earth and receyued vp in glory.

³ Whyche sonne beyng the bryghtnes of hys glorye, and verye Image of his substaunce, bearinge vp al thinges wyth the worde of hys power, hath in his owne persone pourged our synnes, and is sitting on the right hand of the maiestie on hygh,

¹⁴ Seyng then that we haue a great hye prieste, which is entred into heauen (I meane Iesus the sonne of God) let vs holde our profession.

²⁰ whether the fore runner is for vs entred in I meane Iesus that is made an hye prieste for euer, after the order of Melchysedech.

²⁶ Suche an hye Prieste it became vs to haue which is holy, harmlesse, vndefyled, separate from synners, and made hyer then heauen.

¹ Of the thynges which we haue spoken this is the pythe: that we haue suche an hye prieste that is sytten on the ryght hande of the seate of maiestye in heauen,

²⁴ For Christe is not entred into the holye places that are made wyth handes, whiche are but simylytudes of true thynges: but is entred into verye heauen, for to appere nowe in the syghte of God for vs:

¹² But thys man after he had offered one sacryfyce for synnes, satte hym downe for euer on the right hande of God, ¹³ and from henceforth taryeth tyl hys foes be made hys fote stole.

¹⁹ Seynge brethren that, by the meanes of the bloude of Iesu, we may be bold to enter into that holy place, ²⁰ by the newe and lyuynge waye, whych he hath prepared for vs, thorow the vayle, that is to say hys flesh. ²¹ And seynge also that we haue an hye pryest which is ruler ouer the house of God ²² let vs draw nye wyth a true herte in a full fayth, sprynkeled in our hertes from an euyl conscyence, and washed in our bodyes wyth pure water,

² lokynge vnto Iesus the author and fynysher of our fayth, whiche for the ioye that was set before hym, abode the crosse, and despised the same, and is set doune on the ryght hande of the throne of God.

²² whyche is on the right hande of God, and is gone into heauen, aungelles, power, and mighte, subdued vnto him.

²⁰ Behold I stande at the dore and knocke. Yf anye man heare my voice and open the dore. I wil come in vnto him, and will suppe with him, and he wyth me. ²¹ To hym that ouercommeth, wyl I graunt to sit with me in my seate euen as I ouercame and haue sitten wyth my father, in his seate.
