⁵² And they worshipped him, and returned to Ierusalem, with great ioye,

¹¹ And so thou hast turned my heuynesse into ioye: thou haste put of my sacke cloth, & gyrded me with gladnesse.

⁹ And as they went to tell hys disciples: beholde, Iesus met them saying al hayle. And they came & helde him by the fete and worshypped him.

¹⁷ And when they sawe hym they worshipped hym. But some of them doubted.

²⁸ Ye haue hearde how I sayde vnto you. I go and come agayne vnto you. Yf ye loued me, ye would verely reioyce, because I sayde: I go vnto the father. For the father is greater then I.

⁷ Neuerthelesse I tell you the trueth, it is expediente for you that I go awaye. For yf I go not awaye, that comforter wil not come vnto you. But yf I departe, I wil sende hym vnto you.

²² And ye now are in sorow: but I wyll se you agayne, and youre hertes shall reioyce, and youre ioye shall no man take from you.

²⁸ Thomas aunswered and said vnto hym: My Lord and my God:

⁸ whome ye haue not sene, and yet loue hym, in whome euen nowe, thoughe ye se hym not, yet do you beleue: and reioyce with ioye vnspeakeable and gloryous:
