¹⁶ But their eyes were holden that they coulde not knowe him.

¹⁸ And when the soudyars came doune to him: Elizeus prayed vnto the Lorde & sayde. Smyte thys people wyth blyndnesse. And he smote them wyth blyndnes accordyng to the desyre of Elizeus. ¹⁹ Then Elizeus said vnto them this is not the waye, nor thys is not the toune: But folowe me, and I wyll bryng you to the man ye seke. And he led them to Samaria. ²⁰ When they were come to Samaria, Elyzeus sayde: Lorde, open theyr eyes & let them se. And the Lorde opened theyr eyes that they sawe. And behold they were in the myddes of Samaria

¹² After that he appered to two of them in a straunge fygure, as they walked and went into the countre.

³¹ And their eyes were opened and they knewe him: and he vanyshed out of their sight.

¹⁴ When she had thus sayde, she tourned her self backe, and sawe Iesus standynge, and knewe not, that it was Iesus.

⁴ But when the mornyng was nowe come, Iesus stode on the shore: neuerthelesse the dyscyples knewe not that it was Iesus.
