⁴⁰ Be ye prepared therfore: for the sonne of man will come at an houre, when ye thynke not.

⁴² Wake therfor, because ye knowe not what houre your maister wyl come.

⁴⁴ Therfore be ye also redye, for in the houre ye thinke he woulde not, wyll the sonne of man come.

¹³ watche therfore: for ye knowe neither the daye nor yet the houre when the sonne of man shall come.

³³ Take hede, watche and pray, forth ye know not when the tyme is. ³⁴ As a man whiche is gone into a straunge countreye, and hath left hys house, and geuen authorite to his seruauntes, and euerye man hys worke, and commaunded the porter to watche. ³⁵ Watche therfore, for ye knowe not when the mayster of the house wyll come: whether at euen, or at mydnyght: whether at the cocke crowynge or in the dawnynge, ³⁶ leste yf he come sodenlye, he shoulde fynde you slepynge.

³⁴ Take hede to your selues, lest youre hertes be ouercome with surfetinge and dronkenes and cares of this worlde: and that that day come not on you vnwares. ³⁵ For as a snare shall it come on all them that syt on the earth. ³⁶ Watche therfore contynuallye and praye, that ye may obtayne grace to flye all this that shal come, and that ye may stande before the sonne of man.

¹¹ Thys also we knowe, I meane the season, howe that it is tyme, that we should now awake oute of slepe. For nowe is oure saluacyon nearer, then when we beleued.

¹⁴ but put ye on the Lorde Iesus Christ. And make not prouysyon for the fleshe, to fulfyll the lustes of it.

⁶ Therfore let vs not slepe as do other: but let vs watche & be sober.

¹² lokynge for and hasting vnto the comminge of the daye of God, in which the heauens shall perishe with fyre, & the elementes shalbe consumed wyth heat. ¹³ Neuertheles we loke for a new heauen and a newe earth, accordinge to his promys, wherin dwelleth rygtuousnes. ¹⁴ Wherfore dearly beloued, seynge that ye loke for such thinges, be diligent that ye may be found of hym in peace, wythout spotte and vndefyled

⁷ Let vs be glad & reioyse & geue honour to him, for the mariage of the lambe is come, and hys wyfe made her selfe readye.
