²⁶ Iesus aunswered them and sayde verelye, verelye I say vnto you ye seke me, not because ye sawe the miracles, but because ye eate of the loues, and were fylled.

³⁷ For their herte was not whole with him, neither continued they in his couenaunt.

¹² Then beleued they in his worde, and sang prayse vnto hym. ¹³ But within a whyle they forgat his workes, and wold not abyde his councel. ¹⁴ A lust came vpon them in the wildernesse, so that they tempted God in the deserte.

³¹ These come vnto the, after the maner of a great people: yea my people syt doune before the, and heare thy wordes, but they do not there after: for in theyr mouthes they shewe them selues, as though they were feruent, but their herte goeth after theyr owne couetous lucre.

³ Iesus aunswered & said to him: verely verely, I said vnto the: except a man be borne a new, he can not se the kingdome of God.

⁵ Iesus aunswered: verely, verely, I saye vnto the: except that a man be boren of water and of the spyryte, he can not enter into the kyngdome of God.

² And a great multitude folowed hym, because they had sene his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.

¹⁵ When Iesus perceiued that they woulde come, & take him vp to make him king, he departed againe into a mountaine him selfe alone.

²⁴ Then when the people sawe that Iesus was not there neyther his disciples, they also toke shyppinge and came to Capernaum sekinge for Iesus.

³⁰ They said vnto him: what sygne shewest thou them that we may se and beleue the? What doest thou worke?

⁴⁷ Verely, verelye, I say vnto you, he that beleueth on me, hath euerlasting lyfe

⁵³ Then Iesus saide to them. Verely, verely, I say vnto you: excepte ye eate the fleshe of the sonne of man and drinke his bloude, ye shall not haue lyue in you.

⁶⁴ But there are some of you that beleue not. For Iesus knewe from the beginninge, which they were that beleued not, and wo should betraye him.

¹⁸ When Simon saw that thorow laiyng on of the Apostles handes on them, the holy ghoste was geuen, he offred them money ¹⁹ saiyng: Geue me also this power, that on whomsoeuer I put the handes, he may receiue the holy ghost. ²⁰ Then sayd Peter vnto him: thy money perishe with the, because thou wenest that the gift of God maye be obteyned wt money. ²¹ Thou hast neither parte nor fellowshippe in thys busynes. For the hert is not ryght in the sight of God.

¹⁸ For they that are such, serue not the Lorde Iesus Christ: but theyr owne bellyes, and with swete preachynges & flatterynge wordes deceyue the hertes of the innocentes.

²¹ For al other seke theyr owne, and not that whiche is Iesus Christes.

¹⁹ whose ende is dampnation, whose God is theyr belye, and whose glorye is to theyr shame, whiche are worldlye minded.

⁵ and vayne disputacyons of men wyth corrupte myndes, and destytute of the trueth, whiche thynke that lucre is Godlines, from suche separate thy self.

³ Ye axe and receyue not, because ye axe a mysse: euen to consume it vpon youre voluptuousnes ⁴ Ye aduouterers, & women that breake matrimonye: knowe ye not, how that the frendeshyppe of the worlde is enmitie to God warde? Who so euer wyl be a frende of the worlde, is made the enemy of God.
