⁸ And when he is come, he wil rebuke the world of synne, and of ryghteousnesse, and of iudgement

¹⁰ Moreouer, vpon the house of Dauid & vpon the cytesins of Ierusalem wil I poure oute the spirite of grace & prayer, so that they shal loke vpon me, whom they haue pearsed: & they shal bewepe him, as men mourne for their onely begotten sonne: yea & be sory for him, as men are sorye for their fyrst childe.

⁹ And assone as they hearde that, they went out one by one, the eldest fyrst. And Iesu was left alone, and the woman standynge in the myddes.

⁴⁶ Which of you can rebuke me of synne? Yf I saye the truth, why do not ye beleue me?

³⁷ When they hearde this, they were prycked in their hertes, and sayd vnto Peter and vnto the other Apostles. Ye men and brethren, what shall we do?

²⁹ Then he called for a lyght, and sprang in, and came tremblyng, and fell doune before Paule and Sylas, ³⁰ and brought them out and sayde: Syr what muste I do to be saued?

²⁴ But and yf all prophecye, and there come in one that beleueth not, or one vnlearned, he is rebuked of al men, and is iudged of euerye man:

¹⁵ to geue iudgemente agaynst al men, & to rebuke al that are vngodly among them, of all theyr vngodly dedes, whiche they haue vngodlye commytted and of all theyr cruell speakynges; whiche vngodly synners haue spoken agaynste him.
