⁸ O then it is reason that I sowe, and another eate, yea that my generacion & posterite be cleane roted oute.

¹⁶ then I wyll do this agayne vnto you: I wyl viset you with vexacions, swellinge & feuers, that shall make your eyes dasel, & wt sorowes of herte. And ye shall sowe your seede in vayne, for youre enemyes shall eate it.

³⁰ thou shalt be betrawthed vnto a wyfe, and another shal lye with her. Thou shalt buylde and house & another shal dwell therin. Thou shalt plante a vyneard, & shalt not make it comen. ³¹ Thyne oxe shalbe slayne before thyne eyes, and thou shalt not eate therof. Thyne asse shalbe vyolentlye taken awaye euen bofore thy face, and shall not be restored the agayne. Thy shepe shalbe geuen vnto thyne enemyes, and no man shall helpe the. ³² Thy sonnes and thy daughters shall be geuen vnto another nacion, and thyne eyes shall se and dase vpon them all daye longe, but shalt haue no myght in thyne hande. ³³ The frute of thy lande and all thy laboures shall a nacion which thou knowest not, eate, and thou shalt but suffre vyolence only & be oppressed alwaye:

³⁸ Thou shalt carie moch seed out in the felde & shalt gather but lytle in: for the greshopers shall destroye it.

⁵¹ And he shall eate the frute of thy lande and the frute of thy catell vntill he haue destroyed the: so that he shall leaue the nether corne, wyne, nor oyle, nether the encrease of thyne oxen nor the flockes of thy shepe: vntyll he haue brought the to nought.

³ For when Israel had sowen, then came the Madianites the Amalechites, & they of the east contreye vpon them & pitched their tentes agaynste them ⁴ & destroyed the encrease of the earth euen vnto Azah, & left no sustinaunce in Israel, neyther shepe, oxe or asse, ⁵ for they came wyth theyr cattell & housholdes euen as greshopers in multitude: so that both they & also theyr camels were wythoute nombre. And they entrede the land to destroy it. ⁶ And so was Israel excedyngly impoueresshed by the Madianites & cryed vnto the Lord.

⁴ that his chyldren were without prosperite or healt: that they were slayne in the dore, and no man to delyuer them: ⁵ that hys haruest was eaten vp of the hungrye: that the weapened man had spoyled it, and that the thurstye had droncke vp his riches. It is not the earth that bringeth forth trauayle,

³⁰ He shall neuer come oute of darcknesse, the flame shall drye vp hys braunches, wyth the blast of the mouth of God shall he be taken awaye.

¹⁹ He shall nether haue chyldren nor kynsfolckes amonge his people, no, ner eny posterite in his countre:

¹⁸ But laboure shall he, and yet haue nothinge to eate. Greate trauayle shall he make for ryches, but he shall not enioye them.

⁶ They reape the corne feld that is not their owne and gather the grapes oute of hys vineyard, whome they haue oppressed by vyolence.

¹³ Let hys ende be destruccyon, & in the next generacion let his name be cleane put oute.

¹⁵ Thou shalt sowe, but not reape: thou shalt presse out oliues, but oyle shalt thou not haue to anoynte thy selfe wythall: thou shalt tread out swete must, but shalt dryncke no wyne.
