⁶ thou hast taken the pledge from thy brethren for nought and robbed the naked of their clothing.

²⁶ If thou take thy neyghboures rayment to pledge, that thou delyuer it vnto him agayne by that the sunne go downe.

⁶ No man shal take the neather or the vppermylstone to pledge, for then he taketh a mans lyfe to pledge.

¹⁰ If thou lende thy brother any maner socoure, thou shalt not go in to hys house to fetche a pledge: ¹¹ but shalt stande without & the man to whom thou lendest, shall brynge the pledge out at the dore. ¹² Forthermore yf it be a pore body, go not to slepe wt hys pledg ¹³ but delyuer hym the pledge agayne by that the sonne go doune, & let him slepe in hys awne rayment and blesse the. And it shalbe ryghteousnes vnto the, before the Lord thy god. ¹⁴ Thou shalt not defraude an hyred seruaunte that is nedye and poore whether he be of thy brethren or a straunger that is in thy land ¹⁵ with in thy cyties. Geue him his hyre the same daye, and let not the sonne go doune theron. For he is nedye and therwith susteyneth hys lyfe, lest he crye agaynst the vnto the Lord and it be synne vnto the. ¹⁶ The fathers shal not dye for the chyldren nor the children for the fathers: but euery man shal dye for his awne synne. ¹⁷ Hynder not the ryght of the straunger nor of the fatherlesse, nor take wedowes rayment to pledge. ¹⁸ But remembre that thou wast a seruaunte in Egypte, and how the Lord thy God delyuered the thence. Wherfore I commaunde the to do this thyng.

³ that driue away the asse of the fatherlesse, that take the wyddowes oxe for a pledge:

⁹ They spoyle the sucking fatherlesse children and put the dore in preson. ¹⁰ In so muche that they let them go naked withoute clothinge, and yet the hungry beare the sheues.

¹⁹ Haue I sene any man perysh thorow nakednesse and want of clothinge? Or any poore man for lack of rayment, ²⁰ whose sydes thancked me not, because he was warmed wt the wolle of my shepe?

⁷ he greueth no body, he geueth his detter his pledge agayn he taketh none other mans good by vyolence: he parteth his mete with the hongrye: he cloteth the naked:

¹² he greueth the poore & nedy: he robbeth and spoiled: he geueth not the detter his pledge againe he lyfteth vp his eyes vnto Idols, & medleth with abhominable thinges:

¹⁶ he vexeth no man: he kepeth no mans pledge: he neyther spoyleth, nor robbeth anye man: he dealeth his meate with the hongrye: he clotheth the naked:

⁸ they lye besyde euery aulter vpon clothes taken to pledge, and in the house of theyr Goddes they drincke the wyne of the oppressed.
