⁴ In those dayes & at that time sayeth the Lorde, the children of Israell shall come, they and the children of Iuda, wepyng & makinge haste, and shall seke the Lord their God.

¹² Many also of the old pryestes and Leuites and auncyent fathers, whyche had sene the fyrst house: when the foundacion of thys house was layed before their eyes, wepte wyth a loud voice. And many shouted with ioye, ¹³ so that the noyse gaue a great sounde, in so much that the people could not knowe the ioyfull sounde for the noyse of the weping amonge the people: for the people shouted with a loud crye, so that the noise was heard farre of.

⁴ Seke the Lord, and his strength, seke his face euermore.

⁴ Turne oure captiuitie, O Lorde, as the ryuers in the south. ⁵ They that sowe in teares, shall reape in ioye. ⁶ He that now goeth in hys waye wepyng and beareth forthe good sede, shall come agayne with ioye, & bryng hys sheaues wyth hym.

¹² And he shal set vp a token amonge the Gentyles, and gather together the dispersed of Israel, yea and the out castes of Iuda from the foure corners of the world. ¹³ The hatred of Ephraim and the emnyte of Iuda shalbe cleane roted oute. Ephraim shall beare no euyll wyll to Iuda, and Iuda shall not hate Ephraim:

¹ Bvt the Lorde wylbe mercyfull vnto Iacob, and wil take vp Israel agayne, and set them in their owne lande. Straungers shall cleaue vnto them, and get them to the house of Iacob.

¹⁹ I haue not spoken secretely, nether in darcke places of the earth. It is not for naught, that I sayde vnto the sede of Iacob: seke me. I am the Lord, which when I speake, declareth the thing that is ryghtuous & true.

⁶ Seke the Lorde, whyle he maye be founde, & call vpon hym whyle he is nye.

⁴ For the day of vengeaunce that I haue taken in hande, and the yeare of my delyueraunce is come.

¹⁶ Moreouer, when ye be increased and multyplied in the land, then (sayeth the Lorde) there shall no more boost be made of the arcke of the Lordes Testament: No man shal thincke vpon it, neyther shall any man make mencion of it: for from thence forth it shall neyther be visited, nor honoured with gyftes. ¹⁷ Then shal Ierusalem be called the Lordes seate, and all Heathen shalbe gathered vnto it, for the name of the Lordes sake, whyche shalbe set vp at Ierusalem. And from that tyme forth, they shal folow no more the ymaginacion of their owne frowarde herte. ¹⁸ Then those that be of the house of Iuda, shal go vnto the house of Israel, and they shal come together out of the North, into the same land, that I haue geuen youre fathers.

¹² Ye shal crye vnto me, ye shall go & call vpon me, & I shall heare you. ¹³ Ye shall seke me & fynde me, Yea, yf so be that ye seke me with your whole herte, ¹⁴ I wyl be founde of you (sayeth the Lord) & wil delyuer you out of preson, & gather you together agayne oute of all places, wherein I haue scatred you, sayeth the Lord: & wil bring you agayne to the same place, from whence I caused you to be caryed awaye captyue.

¹⁰ And as for the, O my seruaunt Iacob, feare not (sayth the Lord) and be not afrayed, O Israell. For lo, I wyll helpe the also from farre, and thy sede from the lande of theyre captiuite. And Iacob shall turne agayne, he shalbe in rest, and haue a prosperous lyfe, and no man shal make hym afrayed. ¹¹ For I am wyth the, to helpe the, sayeth the Lorde. And thoughe I shall destroye all the people, amonge whome I haue scatred the, yet wyll I not destroy the but correcte the, and that with dyscrecion. For I knowe, that thou arte in no wyse wythoute faute.

⁶ And when it is tyme, the watche men vpon the mounte of Ephraim shall crye: Aryse, let vs go vp vnto Syon to oure Lorde God, ⁷ for thus sayeth the Lorde: Reioyce wyth gladnes because of Iacob, crye vnto the heade of the Gentyles: speake oute, synge, and saye: The Lorde shall delyuer hys people, the remnaunte of Israell, and make them whol

⁹ They departed from hence in heuynes, but wyth ioye wyll I brynge them hyther agayne. I wyl lede them by the ryuers of water in a straighte waye, where they shall not stomble: For I wyll be Israels father, and Ephraim shalbe my fyrstborne. ¹⁰ Heare the worde of the Lorde, O ye Gentyles, preache in the Iles that lye farre of, & saye: he that hath scatred Israell, shall gather hym together agayne, and shall kepe hym as a shepeherde doth hys flocke.

³¹ Beholde, the dayes come (sayeth the Lord) that I wil make a newe couenaunt with the house of Israell & with the house of Iuda:

⁶ Beholde (saieth the Lorde) I will heale their woundes, and make them whole: I wyll open them the treasure of peace and trueth. ⁷ And I will returne the captyuyte of Iuda and Israell, and I will set them vp agayne, as they were afo ⁸ From all misdedes (wherein they haue offended against me) I will clense them. And al their blasphemes whiche they haue done agaynst me, when they regarded me not, I will forgeue them.

¹⁵ In those dayes and at the same tyme, I wil bringe forthe vnto Dauid, the braunche of righteousnes, and he shal do equite and ryghteousnesse in the lande.

¹⁹ and wil bringe Israel agayne to hys pleasaunte pasture, that he maye fede vpon Charmel and Basan, and be satisfyed vpon the mounte of Ephraim & Galaad. ²⁰ In those dayes & at the same tyme (sayeth the Lorde) yf the offence of Israel be soughte for, there shal none be found: Yf men enquere for the sinne of Iuda, there shalbe none: for I wyll be mercyfull vnto them whome I suffre to remayne ouer.

³³ Thus sayth the Lorde of hostes: The chyldren of Israell & Iuda suffre violence together. Al they that haue them in captyuyte, kepe them faste, and wyll not let them go: ³⁴ but theyr auenger & redemer is myghtye, whose name is the Lorde of hostes: he shal maintayne theyr cause, he shall make the lande shake, and iudge them that dwell therein, one wyth another.

⁴⁷ And lo, the tyme commeth that I wyll vyset the ymages of Babylon, and the whole lande shalde confounded, yee and her slayne shall lye in the myddest of her. ⁴⁸ Heauen and earth with all that is therin, shall reioyce ouer Babylon, when the destroyers shall come vpon her from the North, sayeth the Lorde.

¹⁶ thou sonne of man, take a stycke and wryte vpon it: Vnto Iuda & to the chyldren of Israel his companyons. Then take another sticke, & write vpon it: Vnto Ioseph the stock of Ephraim, & to all the housholde of Israell his companyons. ¹⁷ And then, take both these together in thyne hande, so shall there be one stycke therof. ¹⁸ Now yf the chyldren of thy people saye vnto the: wylt thou not shewe vs, what thou meanest by these? ¹⁹ Then geue them this answere: thus sayeth the Lorde God: beholde, I wyll take the stock of Ioseph, which is in the hande of Ephraim & of the tribes of Israell his felowes, & will put them to the stock of Iuda, & make them one stocke, & they shall be one in my hande. ²⁰ And the two styckes where vpon thou wrytest, shalt thou haue in thyne hande, that they may se, ²¹ and shalt saye vnto them. Thus sayeth the Lorde God: beholde, I wyll take awaye the chyldren of Israel from amonge the Heathen vnto whom they be gone, & wyll gather them together on euery syde, & bringe them agayne into their owne lande: ²² yee I wyll make one people of them in the lande, vpon the mountaynes of Israell, and they all shall haue but one kynge. They shall no mor be two peoples from henceforth, nether be deuyded in to two kyngdomes:

²⁵ Therfore thus sayeth the Lorde God: Now wyll I brynge agayne the captiues of Iacob and haue mercy vpon the whole house of Israell, and be gelous for my holy names sake.

¹¹ Then shal the chyldren of Iuda & the children of Israel be gathered together again, & chose them selues one heade, and then depart oute of the lande: for great shalbe the daye of Israel.

⁵ But afterwarde shall the children of Israell conuerte, and seke the Lorde their God: and Dauid their kinge: & in the latter dayes, they shall worshyppe the Lorde, and hys louynge kindnesse.

¹² Now therfore sayeth the Lorde: Turne you vnto me wyth all youre hertes, wyth fastynge, wepynge and mournynge,

²¹ and they that dwell in one citie, shal go to another sayeng: Vp, let vs go, and pray before the Lord, let vs seke the Lorde of Hostes, I will go with you: ²² yea much people and mightie heathen shall come and seke the Lorde of Hostes at Ierusalem, & to pray before the Lorde. ²³ Thus sayeth the Lorde of Hostes: In that tyme shal ten men (out of al maner of languages of the Gentiles) take one Iew by the hemme of his garment, and saye: we wyl go with you, for we haue hearde, that God is amonge you.

¹⁰ Moreouer, vpon the house of Dauid & vpon the cytesins of Ierusalem wil I poure oute the spirite of grace & prayer, so that they shal loke vpon me, whom they haue pearsed: & they shal bewepe him, as men mourne for their onely begotten sonne: yea & be sory for him, as men are sorye for their fyrst childe.

⁹ Suffer afflictyons: sorowe ye and wepe. Let youre laughter be turned to mornynge and youre ioye to heauynes.
