²⁰ They crye murthur vpon murthur, the whole lande shall perishe. Immediatly my tentes were destroied, and my hanginges, in the twinckelinge of an eye.

⁵ And the Lord spake vnto Moses, say vnto the chyldren of Israel: ye are a styfnecked people: I must come once sodenly vpon you, & make an ende of you. But now put youre goodly rayment from you, that I maye wete what to do vnto you.

¹⁸ And if ye wyl not yet for all thys herken vnto me, then wil I punyshe you seuen times more for youre synnes,

²¹ And if ye walke contrarye vnto me and wyll not herken vnto me, I wyll brynge seuen tymes mo plages vpon you accordyng to your synnes.

²⁴ then wyll I also walke contrarye vnto you and wyll punyshe you yet seuen times for your synnes.

²⁸ then I wyll walke contrarye vnto you also wrathfullye and wyll also chastyce you seuen tymes for youre synnes:

²¹ seperate your selues from thys congregation, that I may consume them at once.

⁴⁵ Get you from this congregation, that I may consume them quyckely. And they fel vpon theyr faces.

⁷ One depe calleth another wyth the voyce of thy whistles, al thy waues and water floudes are gone ouer me.

¹⁹ And blessed be the name of his maiesty for euer, and al landes be fulfilled with his glory. Amen, Amen.

⁶ Mourne therfore, for the daye of the Lorde is at hande, & commeth as a destroyer from the Almyghtye.

²⁰ There shal Sion be sene, the head cytye of oure solempne feastes. There shal thyne eyes se Ierusalem that gloryous habytacyon: the tabernacle that neuer shal remoue, whose nayles shall neuer be taken oute worlde wythout ende, whose coardes euerychone shall neuer corrupte:

⁹ And yet both these thinges shall come to the vpon one daye in the twyncklyng of an eye: Namely wyddowhead, & desolacyon. They shall mightely fall vpon the, for the multitude of thy witches, & for the greate heape of thy coniurers.

² Make thy tente wyder, and sprede out the hanginges of thyne habytacion: spare not, laye forth thy coardes, and make faste thy stakes,

⁶ Set vp the token in Syon, spede you, and make no taryenge: for I will bringe a greate plage, and a greate destruccyon from the north.

¹⁹ Alas how am I hurte? Alas, howe paynefull are my scourges vnto me? For I consydre this sorowe by my selfe, & I must suffre it. ²⁰ My tabernacle is destroyed, and al my coardes are broken. My children are gone fro me, & can no where be found. Nowe haue I none to sprede oute my tente, or to set vp my hanginges.

¹⁸ Let my persecuters be confounded, but not me: let them be afrayed, and not me. Thou shalt bringe vpon them the tyme of their plage, and shalt destroye them right sore.

⁶ Vau. Her tabernacle (which was lyke a garden of pleasure) hath he destroyed: her hye solempne feastes hath he put downe. The Lorde hath brought it so to passe, that the hye solempne feastes & Sabbathes in Sion, are cleane forgotten. In his heuy displeasure hath he made the kynge and prestes to be despysed. ⁷ Zain. The Lorde hath forsaken hys owne aulter, and is wroth with his owne Sanctuary, and hath geuen the walles of their towres in to the handes of the enemye. Their enemyes made a noyse in the house of the Lorde, as it had bene in a solempne feast daye. ⁸ Heth. The Lorde thought to breake downe the walles of the daughter Sion, he spred out his lyne, & drewe not in his hande, tyll he had destroyed them. Therfore mourne the turrettes and the broken walles together. ⁹ Teth. Her portes are casten downe to the grounde, her barres are broken and smytten in sonder: her kynge & prynces are caried awaye to the Gentyles. They haue nether lawe ner Prophetes, ner yet eny visyon from the Lorde.

⁴⁷ Feare and snare is come vpon vs, yee despyte and destruccyon.

²⁵ When thys trouble commeth they shall seke peace, but they shal haue none. ²⁶ One myschefe & sorowe shall folowe another, and one rumoure shall come after another: Then shall they seke visions in vayne at theyr Prophetes. The lawe shalbe gone from the Priestes, and wysdom from the elders.

²¹ Moreouer thus sayth the Lord god: Though I sende my foure troublous plages vpon Ierusalem: the swearde, honger, perlous, beastes and pestilence, to destroye man and beaste oute of it:

¹⁵ alas, alas, for thys daye. And why? the daye of the Lorde is at hand, and commeth as a destroyer from the almighty.

⁷ I sawe, that the pauylions of the Morians & the tentes of the lande of Madian were vexed for werynesse.

²⁸ And feare ye not them which kil the body, and be not able to kill the soule. But rather feare him, which is able to destroy both soule & body into hell.

⁹ which shall be punyshed wyth euerlastyng dampnacyon from the presence of the Lorde, and from the glory of hys power,
