³⁷ For I wyll cause Elam to be afrayed of theyr enemyes, and of them that seke theyr lyues, and wyll brynge vpon them the indignacyon of my wrathe, sayeth the Lorde. And I wyll persecute them with the swearde so longe tyll I haue broughte them to naughte.

³³ And I wyl strawe you among the Heathen, and wyl draw out a swerde after you, and youre land shal be waste, and your cityes desolate.

⁴ For lo, kynges are gathered, and gone by together. ⁵ They marueled, to se suche thynges: they were astonied, and sodenly cast doune. ⁶ Feare came there vpon them, and sorow as vpon a woman in her trauayle.

¹⁶ I wyll scatre them also among the Heathen, whome neyther they nor theyr fathers haue knowne: & I will sende a swearde amonge them, to persecute them, vntyl I bring them to naughte.

²⁴ The terryble dyspleasure of the Lorde shall not leaue of, vntyll he haue done, and perfourmed the intente of hys herte, whiche in the latter dayes ye shal vnderstande.

²⁰ Those men will I geue into the power of their enemies, & into the handes of them that folowe vpon their lyues. And their dead bodies shalbe meate for the foules of the ayre, and beastes of the felde. ²¹ As for Zedekiah the Kynge of Iuda and his Princes, I wil delyuer them into the power of their enemies, and of them that desyre to slaye them, and into the hande of the kynge of Babylons hoste whyche now is departed from you.

² Moab shall no more be had in honoure: Wycked councell shalbe taken vpon Hesebon. Come (shall they saye) let vs rote them oute, that they maye be no more amonge the nombre of the Gentyles, yea that they maye no more be thought vpon: Thus the swearde shall persecute the:

³⁹ O howe fearfull is she? O howe mourneth she? O howe doeth Moab hange doune her head, and is ashamed? Thus shall Moab be a laughynge stocke, and had in derisyon of all them, that be rounde aboute her.

⁵ Beholde, I wyll bring a feare vpon the, sayeth the Lord God of Hostes, from al those that be aboute the: so that ye shall be scatered euerye man from another, and no man shall gather them together agayne that be fled.

²² Beholde, the enemye shall come & fle vp hyther, lyke as it were an Aegle, and sprede his winges vpon Bozrah. Then shall the hertes of the worthyes in Edom be as the herte of a woman trauailinge of childe.

²⁴ Damascus shalbe sore afrayed, and shall fle, tremblynge shall come vpon her. Sorowe and payne shall ouertake her as a woman trauaylynge of chylde.

²⁹ Theyr tentes and theyr flockes shal they take awaye, yea theyr hanginges and theyr vessel. Theyr Camels also shall they carye awaye with them. They shall come aboute them on euerye syde with a fearfull crye.

³⁶ The swearde vpon theyr soth sayers, as for those (they shal become fooles.) The swearde vpon they: worthies, so that they shall stande in feare:

² And burne the thirde parte therof in the fyre in the myddest of the cytie, & cut the other thirde parte in peces with a knyfe. As for the thirde parte that remayneth, cast it in the wynde, & then shewe the bare knyfe.

¹² One thirde parte within the, shall dye of the pestilence and of honger: Another thirde parte shall be slayne downe rounde aboute the, with the swearde: The other thirde parte that remayneth, will I scatre abroade towarde all the wyndes, and drawe out the swearde after them.

¹⁴ As for al his helpers, & all hys hostes, that be aboute hym, I wyll scatre them towarde all the wyndes, and drawe out a sweard after them.

²³ whose graues lye besyde hym in the lowe pytte. Hys comens are buryed rounde aboute hys graue, all together wounded, and slayne wyth the sweard whiche men afore tyme broughte feare into the lande of the lyuynge.
