¹³ But they to fulfil their lust and wilfulnes, slaughter oxen: they kyll shepe, they eate costly meate, and drincke wyne, let vs eate and drincke, to morow we shall dye.

¹² In those companies are harpes and lutes, tabrettes & pipes and wyne. But they regarde not the worck of the Lorde, and consydre not the operacyon of hys handes.

²² Wo be vnto them, that are connynge men to suppe oute wyne, and experte to set vp dronckennesse.

⁴ Myne herte panted, I trembled for feare. The darcknesse made me fearfull in in my mynde. ⁵ Yea sone make ready the table (sayde this voyce) kepe the watch, eate & dryncke. Vp ye Captaynes, take you to youre shild,

⁷ But they go wronge by the reason of wyne, they fall and stacker because of stronge drincke. Yea euen the Priestes and Prophetes them selues go amysse, they are droncken with wyne, & weake brayned thorowe stronge drincke. They erre in seynge, and in iudgemente they fayle. ⁸ For all tables are so full of vomyte and fylthynes, that no place is cleane.

¹² Come (saye they) I wil fetche wyne, so shall we fyll oure selues, that we maye be droncken. And to morowe, lyke as to daye, yea and much more.

³ Ye are taken out for the euyll daye, euen ye that syt in the stole of wilfulnesse: ⁴ Ye that lye vpon beddes of Iuerye, and vse your wantonnesse vpon your rouches: ye that eate the beste lambes of the flocke, and the fattest calues of the droaue: ⁵ ye that singe to the lute, & in playenge of instrumentes compare youre selues vnto Dauid: ⁶ ye that drincke wyne oute of goblettes, and annoynte youre selues with the best oyle, but no man is sorye for Iosephs hurte. ⁷ Therfor now shal ye be the fyrst of them, that shal be led awaye captyue, and the lusty chere of the wylfull shal come to an ende.

²⁶ As it happened in the tyme of Noe: So shal it be in the tyme of the sonne of man. ²⁷ They ate, they dranke, they maryed wyues, and were maryed euen vnto the same daye that Noe wente into the arke, and the floude came & destroyed them all. ²⁸ Lykewyse also, as it chaunsed in the dayes of Lot. They ate, they dranke they bought, they solde, they planted, they buylte. ²⁹ And euen the same daye that Lot went out of Zodome, it rayned fyre and brymstone from heauen, and destroyed them.

³² That I haue fought wyth beastes at Ephesus, after the maner of men what auauntageth it me, yf the dead rise not againe? Let vs eate and drincke, to morowe we shall dye.

⁵ Ye haue lyued in pleasure on the earth, & in wantonnes. Ye haue norished your hertes, as in a day of slaughter
