¹⁶ For thus hath the Lorde spoken vnto me: ouer a yeare shall all the power of Cedar be gone, lyke as when the offyce of an hyred seruaunt goeth oute.

²⁹ And these are theire generacyons: the Eldest sonne of Ismael was Nabaioth, then Kedar, Adbeel & Mabsam:

¹ Is not the lyfe of man vpon earth a verye batayl? Are not hys daies lyke the daies of an hired seruaunte?

⁵ Who is me that my banyshmente endureth so longe: I dwel in the tabernacles of the sorowfull.

⁵ I am black (O ye daughters of Hierusalem) like as the tentes of the Cedarenes, and as the hanginges of Salomon:

¹⁴ But now the Lorde sayeth thus: In the yeare shall the power of Moab wyth their pompe (whiche is greate) be minished, lyke as the burthen of an hyred seruaunt. And as for the remnaunt of them, they shalbe lesse then a fewe, and not rekened muche worth.

¹¹ Let the wyldernes with her cities lyft vp her voyce, the townes also that be in Cedar. Let them be glad that syt vpon rockes of stone, & let them crie downe from the hye mountaynes:

⁷ All the catel of Cedar shalbe gathered vnto the, the rammes of Nabaioth shall serue the, to be offred vpon myne aulter, whiche I haue chosen, and in the house of my glory, whiche I haue garnyshed.

²⁸ As for Cedar and the kyngdom of Hazor, whome Nabuchodonosor the kynge of Babylon smote doune, the Lorde hath spoken thus vpon them: Aryse, and get you vp vnto Cedar, and destroye the people towarde the easte.

²¹ Arabia & al the prynces of Cedar haue occupied with the, in shepe, wethers and goates.
