²¹ And seynge also that we haue an hye pryest which is ruler ouer the house of God

¹⁸ And I saye also vnto the that thou arte Peeter: and vpon thys rocke I wil buylde my congregacion. And the gates of hell shall not preuayle against it.

⁹ We are Goddes labourer, ye are Goddes husbandrye ye are Goddes buyldinge. ¹⁰ According to the grace of God geuen vnto me, as a wyse buylder haue I layde the foundation. And another buylte theron. But let euery man take hede how he buildeth vpon. ¹¹ For other foundation can no man laie, then that whiche is layde, whiche is Iesus Christ. ¹² Yf any man buylde on this foundacion, golde, syluer, precyous stones timber, haye or stobble: ¹³ euerye mans worke shall appeare. For the daye shal declare it, & it shalbe shewed in fyre. And the fyre shall trye euery mannes worke, what it is. ¹⁴ Yf any mannes worke that he hath buylt vpon, byde: he shall receiue a rewarde. ¹⁵ If any mannes worke burne, he shall suffer losse: but he shalbe safe him selfe: neuerthelesse yet as it were thorow fyre. ¹⁶ Are ye not ware that ye are the temple of God, and how that the spyryte of God dwelleth in you? ¹⁷ Yf anye man defyle the temple of God him shall God destroy. For the temple of God is holy, whyche temple ye are.

¹⁶ Howe agreeth the temple of God with Images. And ye are the temple of that lyuynge God, as sayed God. I wyll dwell amonge them, and walke among them, and wyll be theyr God, and they shall be my people. ¹⁷ Wherfore come out from among them, and separate youre selues (sayeth the Lorde) and touche none vncleane thynge: so wyll I receyue you,

¹⁹ Nowe therfore ye are no more straungers and foreners, but citizyns with the sainctes, and of the houshold of God: ²⁰ and are buylt vpon the foundation of the Apostles & Prophetes, Iesus Christe beynge the head corner stone, ²¹ in whom euerye buyldinge coupled together, groweth vnto an holye temple in the Lorde, ²² in whom ye also are buylde together, and made an habitacion for god in the spyryte.

¹⁵ but and yf I tarye longe, that then thou mayeste yet haue knowledge howe thou oughtest to behaue thy selfe in the housse of God, whiche is the congregacyon of the lyuynge God, the pyllar & ground of trueth.

¹⁷ Wherfore in al thinges it became him to be made like vnto his brethren, that he myghte be mercyfull and a faythful hye prieste in thinges concerninge God, for to pourge the people synnes.

¹ Therfore holye brethren, partakers of the celestiall callinges, consider the ambassatoure and hye prieste of oure professyon, Christe Iesus

³ And yet was this man counted worthy of more glorye then Moyses: In as muche as he which hath prepared the house hath most honoure in the house. ⁴ Euery house is prepared of some man. But he that ordeyned al thinges is God. ⁵ And Moyses verelye was faythfull in al hys house as a minyster, to beare wytnes of those thynges, whyche shoulde be spoken afterwarde. ⁶ But Chryste as a sonne hath rule ouer the house, whose house are we, so that we holde faste the confidence and the reioysynge of that hope, vnto the ende.

¹⁴ Seyng then that we haue a great hye prieste, which is entred into heauen (I meane Iesus the sonne of God) let vs holde our profession. ¹⁵ For we haue not an hye prieste, whiche can not haue compassion on our infirmities, but was in all pointes tempted, lyke as we are, but yet without sinne. ¹⁶ Let vs therfore go boldely vnto the seate of grace, that we may receiue mercye, and fynde grace to healpe in time of nede.

²⁰ whether the fore runner is for vs entred in I meane Iesus that is made an hye prieste for euer, after the order of Melchysedech.

²⁶ Suche an hye Prieste it became vs to haue which is holy, harmlesse, vndefyled, separate from synners, and made hyer then heauen.

¹ Of the thynges which we haue spoken this is the pythe: that we haue suche an hye prieste that is sytten on the ryght hande of the seate of maiestye in heauen,
