¹¹ And euery priest is redy daylie mynistring and ofte tymes offereth one maner of offerynge whyche can neuer take awaye synnes.

³⁸ This is that which thou shalt offer vpon the alter .ij. lambes of one yere olde, daye by daye for euer, ³⁹ the one thou shalte offer in the mornynge and the other at euen.

³ And saye vnto them. Thys is the offerynge whyche ye shall offer vnto the Lorde two Lambes of a yere olde wythout spotte daye by day to be a burnt offerynge perpetually.

²⁴ And after thys maner ye shal offer thorow out the .vij. dayes, the fode of the sacryfice of a swete sauoure vnto the Lord. And it shalbe done besyde the dayly burntofferyng & hys drynkofferynge.

⁶ besyde the burntofferyng of the moneth and his meatofferynge & besyde the dayly burntofferyng & his meatofferyng, and the drynkofferynges of the same: accordynge vnto the maner of them for a sauoure of swetnesse in the sacryfice of the Lord.

⁸ I reproue the not because of thy sacryfice thy burnteofferynges are allwaye before me. ⁹ I wil take no bullockes out of thy house, nor gotes out of thy foldes. ¹⁰ For all the beastes of the felde are myne, and thousandes of cattell vppon the hylles. ¹¹ I know al the foules vpon the mountaynes, and the wylde beastes of the felde are in my sight. ¹² If I be hongry, I wyll not tell the: for the whole worlde is myne, & all that therein is. ¹³ Thynkest thou, that I will eate the fleshe of oxen, or drynke the bloude of goates?

¹¹ Why offre ye so manye sacrifyces vnto me? I am discontent for the brentofferinges of wethers and with the fatnesse of fedbeastes. I haue no pleasure in the bloude of bullockes, lambes & gootes.

⁴ The resydue of that holye grounde shall be the prestes, whiche do seruyce in the Sanctuarye of the Lorde, and goo in before the Lorde to serue hym, that they maye haue rowme to dwell in.

¹¹ Yea it grewe vp vnto the prince of the host from whom the dayly offeringe was taken, & the place of his Sanctuary casten doune:

²¹ yea, whyle I was yet speakinge in my prayer, beholde the man Gabrel (whome I had sene afore in the vision) came flying to me, and touched me about the offeringe time in the eueninge.

²⁷ He shall make a stronge bonde with many, for the space of a weke: and when the weke is halfe gone, he shall put doune the slayne and meateofferinge. And in the temple there shalbe an abhominable desolacion, till it haue destroyed all. And it is concluded, that thys wasting shall continue vnto the ende.

³¹ He shall set myghty men to vnhalowe the Sanctuary of strength, to put doune the daylye offerynge, and to set vp the abhomynable desolacyon.

¹¹ And from the time forth that the dayly offeringe shalbe put doune & the abhominable desolacyon set vp, there shalbe a thousande two hundreth & .xc. dayes.

⁹ (accordinge to the custome of the pryestes offyce) his lot was to bourne incense. ¹⁰ And wente into the tempell of the Lorde and the whole multytude of the people were without in prayer while incense was a burninge.

¹ For euerye hye prieste that is taken from amonge men, is ordeined for men, in thinges perteininge to God, to offer gyftes & sacrifices for synne:

²⁷ Whiche nedeth not dayelye (as yonder hye priestes) to offer vp sacrifyce, fyrste for hys own synnes, and then for the peoples synnes. For that dyd he at once for all, when he offered vp hym selfe.

¹ For the lawe whyche hath but the shadowe of good thinges to come, and not the thynges in theyr owne fashyon can neuer wyth the sacrifyces whych they offer yere by yere continuallly, make the commers thereunto perfect.

⁴ For it is vnpossyble that the bloude of oxen and of gotes shoulde take awaye synnes.
