³⁰ And Ioseph made hast (for his hert did melt vpon his brother) & sought where to wepe, & entred in to his chambre, for to wepe there.

²⁴ And he turned from them & wepte, and than turned to them again and comened with them, & toke out Symeon from amonge them and bounde hym before their eyes,

² And he wepte alowde, so that the Egypcians & the house of Pharao herd it.

¹⁴ And he fell on his brother Beniamynes necke & wepte, and Beniamyn wepte on his necke. ¹⁵ Moerouer he kissed all his brethren & wepte vpon them. And after that, his brethren talked with him

²⁹ And Ioseph made redye his charet and went to mete Israhel hys father vnto Gosan, and presented hym selfe vnto hym, and fell on hys necke and wepte vpon hys necke a good whyle.

²⁶ Then spake the woman whose the lyuyng chylde was, vnto the kynge (for her bowelles yerned vpon her sonne) and sayde: I beseche the my Lorde, geue her the lyuynge chylde, and in no wyse sley it. And the other sayde: it shalbe neyther myne nor thyne, but deuide it.

²⁰ Vpon this complainte, I thoughte thus by my selfe: is not Ephraim my deare sonne? Is he not the chylde, with whom I haue had all myrthe and pastyme? For sence the tyme that I fyrst commened with him, I haue him euer in remembraunce: therfore my verye herte dryueth me vnto hym, gladly and louynglye will I haue mercy vpon him, sayth the Lorde.

⁸ What greate thinges haue I geuen the, O Ephraim? how faythfully haue I defended the, O Israel? haue I dealt wt the as with Adama? or haue I entreated the lyke Seboim? No, my herte is otherwyse minded. Yea, my mercye is to feruent:

³³ When Iesus sawe her wepe, and the Iewes also wepe which came with her, he groned in the spirite, and was troubled in hym self, ³⁴ & sayd: Where haue ye layed hym? They sayde vnto hym: Lorde, come and se. ³⁵ And Iesus wepte. ³⁶ Then sayde the Iewes: Beholde, howe he loued him. ³⁷ And some of them sayde: coulde not he which opened the eyes of the blynde, haue made also that thys man shoulde not haue dyed? ³⁸ Iesus agayne groned in hym selfe, and came to the graue: it was a caue and a stone layde on it.

¹⁹ seruynge the Lorde with all humblenes of mynde, and with many teares, and temptacyons whiche happened to me by the laiynges awayte of the Iewes,

³¹ Therfore awake & remember, that by the space of .iij. yeares I ceased not to warne euerye one of you both night and daye with teares.

³⁷ And they wept al aboundauntly, and fell on Paules necke, & kyssed him

⁸ For God beareth me recorde howe greatlye I longe after you all from the very herte rote in Iesus Christe.

¹ If there be amonge you anye consolation in Christ, yf there be anye comfortable loue, yf there be anye feloweshyp of spirite, yf there be any compassion or mercye,

¹² Nowe therfore as electe of God, holy and beloued, put on tender mercye, kyndnes, humblenes of mindes, meaknes, longe sufferynge,

⁴ desyrynge to se the, myndefull of thy teares: so that I be fylled with ioy,

¹⁷ Whosoeuer hath this worldes good, and seeth his brother haue nede, and shutteth vp his compassion from him, howe dwelleth the loue of God in hym?
