⁹ And Ioseph remembred his dreames which he dreamed of them, and sayde vnto them: ye are spies, and to se where the lande is weake is youre comynge.

⁵ Moreouer Iosephe dreamed a dreame & told it his brethren: wherfore they hated him yet the more. ⁶ And he sayed vnto them heare I praye you thys dreame whyche I haue dreamed: ⁷ Beholde we were makynge sheues in the field: & lo, my sheffe arose and stode vpryght, & youres stode round aboute and made obeysaunce to my shefe. ⁸ Than sayd hys brethren vnto hym: what, shalt thou be our kyng or shalt thou reygne ouer vs? And they hated him yet the more, because of hys dreame and of hys wordes. ⁹ And he dreamed yet another dreame & told it his brethren sayinge: beholde, I haue had one dreame more: me thought the sonne and the moone and .xi. starres made obeysaunce to me.

¹⁶ Sende therfore one of you and let him fet your brother, and ye shalbe in preyson in the meane season. And thereby shall youre wordes be proued, whether there be any trueth in you: or els by the lyfe of Pharao, ye are but spies

³⁰ The Lorde of the lande spake roughly to vs, and toke vs for spyes to serch the countre. ³¹ And we sayde vnto hym: we meane truely and are no spyes.

³⁴ and brynge youre yongest brother vnto me. And thereby shall I knowe that ye are no spyes, but meane truely: So wyll I delyuer you youre brother agayn, and ye shal occupye in the lande.

³⁵ And the Lord plaged the people, because they made the calf whych Aaron made.

¹⁶ These are the names of the men whych Moses sent to spye out the lande. And Moses called the name of Hosea the sonne of Nun, Iosua. ¹⁷ And Moses sent them forth to spye out the land of Canaan, & sayd vnto them: gett you southward and go vp in to the hye contrey, ¹⁸ and se the lande what maner thyng it is and the people that dwelleth therin: whether they be strong or weake, ether fewe or many, ¹⁹ and what the lande is that they dwel in whether it be good or bad, and what maner of cyties they dwel in whether they dwel in tentes or walled townes, ²⁰ and what maner of lande it is: whether it be fatt or leane, and whether there be trees therin or not. And be of a good courage, and brynge of the frutes of the land. And it was aboute the tyme that grapes are fyrst rype.

¹ Then Iosua the sonne of Nun sent out of Settim two spyes secretly saying: go & vewe the land & also Iericho. And they went, & came into a harlottes house named Rahab, and lodged there.

²³ And the younge men that were spyes wente in, and brought oute Rahab, and her father, and mother, and all her brethren and all that she had. And they brought oute al her housholde, and put them wythout the hoste of Israel.

²⁴ And the spyes sawe a man come out of the cytye and they sayde vnto hym: shew vs the waye into the cytye. And we wyl shewe the mercy.
