⁴ And behold, the worde of the Lord spake vnto Abram, sayinge: He shall not be thyne heyre, but one that shal come out of thyne own body shalbe thine heire.

¹⁶ For I wyl blesse her and geue the a sonne of her & wyl blesse her: so that people, yea & kynges of people shal sprynge of her.

¹² Than the Lord sayd vnto Abraham: let it not be greauous vnto the, because of the ladd and of thy bondmayde: But in all that Sara hath sayde vnto the, heare her voyce, for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

¹² And when thy dayes be fulfilled and thou layde to rest wyth thy fathers, then I wyll set vp thy sede after the, which shall proceade out of thy bodye, and will stablysh his kingdome.

¹¹ And Dauid sayde to Abisai, and to all his seruauntes: beholde, my sonne whyche came out of mine owne bowelles seketh my life. How muche more then may thys sonne of Iemini do it? Suffre hym therfore to curse, for the Lorde hath bidden hym:

²¹ And the Lorde sent an angell & destroyed all the men of warre and the Lordes & capitaynes of the hoste of the kyng of Assur, that he turned hys face wyth shame towarde hys owne lande. And when he was come into the house of his God, he was there ouerthrowen wyth the swerde euen by them that issued oute of hys bowelles.
