¹⁵ How happye were ye then? for I beare you recorde that yf it had bene possyble, ye woulde haue plucked oute youre owne eyes, and haue geuen them to me.

¹³ Thei on the stones, are thei which when they heare, receiue the worde with ioye. But these haue no rotes, whiche for a whyle beleue, & in tyme of temptacion go awaye.

⁶ Euen as Dauid descrybeth the blessedfulnes of the man vnto whome God ascrybeth ryghteousnes withoute dedes. ⁷ Blessed are they, whose vnryghteousnes are forgeuen, and whose synnes are couered. ⁸ Blessed is that man to whome the Lord imputeth not synne. ⁹ Came thys blessednes then vpon the circumcysed or vpon the vncircumcysed? We say verelye how that fayth was rekened to Abraham for ryghtuousnes.

² by whom we haue a waye in thorowe fayeth vnto thys grace where in we stande & reioye in hope of the prayse that shalbe geuen of God.

³ For I haue wyshed my selfe to be cursed from Christ, for my brethren and my kynsmen (as pertaynynge to the fleshe)

² For I beare them recorde that they haue a feruent mynde to Godwarde, but not accordynge to knoweledge.

¹³ The God of hope fil you with all ioye, and peace in beleuynge, that ye maye be ryche in hope thorowe the power of the holye ghoste.

³ For to theyr powers (I beare recorde) ye and beyonde theyr power, they were wyllynge of theyr owne accorde,

¹⁴ that the blessyng of Abraham myghte come on the Gentyles thorowe Iesus Christ and that we myght receyue the promes of the spyryte thorow fayth.

¹⁹ My lytle chyldren (of whome I trauayle in byrth agayne vntyll Christe be fashyoned in you)

²² But the frute of the spiryte, is loue, ioye peace, longe sufferynge, gentylnes, goodnes, faithfulnes,

⁴ Let euerye man proue hys owne worke, and then shall he haue reioysynge in hys owne selfe, & not in another.

¹³ I beare hym recorde, that he hath a feruent minde towarde you and towarde them of Laodicia and them of Hierapolis.

⁸ so was our affeccion toward you, oure good wil was to haue dealte to you, not the Gospel of God onely, but also our owne soules because ye were deare to vs.

¹³ and geue you exhortacyon, that ye haue them the more in loue for theyr workes sake, and be at peace wyth them.

¹⁶ Hereby perceyue we loue, that he gaue hys lyfe for vs, & therfore oughte we also to geue our lyues for the brethren. ¹⁷ Whosoeuer hath this worldes good, and seeth his brother haue nede, and shutteth vp his compassion from him, howe dwelleth the loue of God in hym? ¹⁸ My babes, let vs not loue in worde neyther in tonge, but wyth the dede and in veryty:
