¹² Lyke as a shepherde amonge the flocke seketh after the shepe that are scatered abroade, euen so wyll I seke after my shepe, & gather them together oute of all places, wher they haue bene scatred in the cloudy & darcke daye.

³⁴ Then sayde Dauid vnto Saul, as thy seruaunt kept his fathers shepe, there came a Lyon and lykewyse a Beare, and toke a shepe out of the flocke. ³⁵ And I went out after hym and smote hym, and toke it out of hys mouth. And when he arose agaynst me, I caught hym by the bearde and smote hym and slue hym.

¹¹ He shall fede his flock lyke an herdman. He shall gather the lambes together with his arme, and carie them in hys bosome, and shall kyndlye intreate those that beare yonge.

¹⁰ Therfore who so feareth the Lorde among you let hym heare the voyce of hys seruaunt, Who so walketh in darcknesse, and no lyghte shyneth vpon hym, let hym hope in the Lord, and holde hym by his God.

¹⁶ Honoure the Lorde youre God herein, or he take hys lyght from you, and or euer youre fete stomble in darcknesse at the hylle lest when ye loke for the lyght, he turne it into the shadowe and darcknesse of death.

¹⁰ Heare the worde of the Lorde, O ye Gentyles, preache in the Iles that lye farre of, & saye: he that hath scatred Israell, shall gather hym together agayne, and shall kepe hym as a shepeherde doth hys flocke.

³ for the daye is here, the daye of the Lorde is come: the darck daye of the Heathen, the houre is at hande,

¹ Blowe oute the trompet in Sion, & crye vpon my holy hyl, that al suche as dwell in the land, may tremble at it, for the daye of the Lorde commeth, and is harde at hande: ² a darcke daye, a gloomynge daye, a cloudye daye, yea & a stormy daye, lyke as the mornynge spredeth oute vpon the hylles: Namely, a great and myghtye people; suche as haue not bene sence the begynnynge, neither shal be after them for euer more. ³ Before hym shall be a consumynge fyre, and behynde him a burnyng flamme. The land shal be as a garden of pleasure before him, but behynde hym shall it be a very waste wyldernes, and there is no man, that shall escape hym.

¹⁸ Wo be vnto them that desyre the daye of the Lorde, Wherfore wold ye haue it? As for the daye of the Lorde, it shal be darcke and not cleare: ¹⁹ Yea lyke as when a man runneth from a lyon, and a beer meteth with him: or when he commeth into the house, and leaneth hys hande vpon the wall, a serpent diteth hym. ²⁰ Shall not the daye of the Lord be darcke, and not cleare? shall it not be cloudye, and no shyne in it?

¹⁵ for that daye is a daye of wrath, a daye of trouble and heuinesse, a daye of vtter destruccyon & mysery, a darcke & glomyng daye, a cloudy and stormy daye,

⁴ What man of you hauynge an hundred shepe, yf he loose one of them, doth not leaue nynty and nyne in the wildernes, and go after that which is lost vntyl he fynde hym? ⁵ And when he hath found hym, he putteth hym on hys shoulders wyth ioye. ⁶ And assone as he cometh home, he calleth together his louers and neyghboures, saiyng vnto them: reioyse with me, for I haue found my shepe whiche was lost.

¹⁰ For the sonne of man is come to seke, and to saue that which was loste.

¹¹ I am the good shepeherde. The good shepe herde geueth hys lyfe for the shepe. ¹² An hyred, seruaunte, which is not the shepeherde, neyther the shepe are hys own, seeth the wolfe commynge, and leaueth the shepe, and fleeth, and the wolfe catcheth them, & scatiereth the shepe.

¹⁹ And I wyll shewe wounders in heauen aboue, and tokens in the earth beneth, bloude & fyre, and the vapoure of smoke. ²⁰ The sonne shalbe turned into darckenes, and the mone into bloude, before that greate and notable day of the Lorde come. ²¹ And it shall be, that whosoeuer shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saued.
