¹⁶ Thou sonne of man, beholde I wil take awaye the pleasure of thyne eyes with a plage: yet shalt thou neyther mourne, nor wepe, nor water thy chekes therfore:

² and ther went a fyre out from the Lord, and consumed them, & they dyed before the Lorde. ³ Then Moses sayed vnto Aaron: this is that the Lorde spake saying: I wyl be sanctified in them that come nye me, & before all the people I wil be glorified. And Aaron helde hys peace.

¹⁸ For then shall not thy cause be stylled wyth crueltie, nor pacyfyed wyth manye gyftes.

¹⁹ Louyng is the hind, & frendly is the Roo: let her brestes alway satisfye the, and holde the euer content wyth her loue.

¹⁰ There wyll I turne me vnto my loue, and he shall turne hym vnto me.

¹ O who wil geue my heade water ynough, and a wel of teares for myne eyes: that I may wepe night and day, for the slaughter of my people?

¹⁸ & synge a mournyng song of you: that the teares maye fall oute of oure eyes, and that oure eye lyddes maye gusshe oute of water.

¹⁷ But yf ye wyll not heare me, that geue you secrete warnyng, I will mourne fro my whole hert for youre stubburnesse. Pyteouslye wyll I wepe, and the teares shall gusshe out of myne eyes. For the Lordes flocke shall be caryed awaye captyue.

⁵ Agayne, thus sayeth the Lorde: Go not vnto them, that come together, for to mourne and wepe: for I haue taken my peace from this people (saieth the Lorde) yee my fauoure & my mercy.

¹⁰ Mourne not ouer the deed, & be not wo for them, but be sory for hym that departeth awaye: for he commeth not agayne, and seeth his natyue countre no more.

¹⁸ And therfore, thus sayeth the Lorde agaynst Iehoakim, the sonne of Iosiah kynge of Iuda: They shall not mourne for hym (as they vse to do) alas brother, alas syster: Nether shall they saye vnto hym: Alas syre, alas for that noble prynce.

¹⁸ Zade. Let thyne hert crye vnto the Lorde, O thou cytie of the daughter Sion: let thy teares runne downe lyke a ryuer daye & night: rest not, & let not the aple of thine eye leaue of.

¹⁸ So I spake vnto the people by tymes in the morninge and at euen my wyfe dyed: then vpon the next morowe, I did as I was commaunded.

²¹ Tell the house of Israell, thus sayeth the Lorde God: beholde, I wyl suspende my sanctuarye: euen the glorye of your power, the pleasure of youre eyes, & the thyng that ye loue, youre sonnes & doughters whome ye haue left, shall fal thorow the swerde. ²² Lyke as I haue done, so shall ye do also: Ye shall not hide youre faces, ye shall eate no mourners bread: ²³ your bonnettes shall ye haue vpon youre heades, and shues vpon your fete. Ye shall neyther mourne nor wepe, but in youre sinnes ye shalbe sorowful, and one repente with another. ²⁴ Thus Ezechiel is your shewtoken. For loke as he hath done, so when this commeth ye shall do also: that ye maye learne to knowe that I am the Lorde God. ²⁵ But beholde, O thou sonne of man: In the daye, when I take from them their power, their ioye and honoure, the lust of their eyes, the burthen of their bodies: namelye, their sonnes and doughters.

¹³ I woulde not brethren haue you ignoraunt concerninge them whiche are fallen a sleepe, that ye sorowe not as other do which haue no hope.
