¹¹ Moreouer, set the pot empty vpon the coales, that it may be warme & the metall hote: that the fylth & rustinesse maye be consumed.

²⁵ And therfore shall I laye my hande vpon the and burne oute thy drosse from the fyneste and pureste, and put oute all the leade,

⁴ what time as the Lorde shall washe awaye the desolacion of the doughters of Syon, & pourge the bloude out from Ierusalem wt the wynde of his smoke & fyre.

⁹ And therfor shall the iniquite of Iacob be thus reconcyled. And so shall he take away all the frute of hys sinnes. As for aulter stones, he shall make them all as stones beaten to poulder: the groues & Idols shall not stande.

¹⁰ For I haue sett my face agaynst this cytie (sayeth the Lord) to plage it, and to do it no good. It muste be geuen in to the hande of the kynge of Babylon, and be brent with fyre.

²⁹ For the Caldees shal come, and wynne this citie, and set fyre vpon it. And burne it, wt the gorgeous houses, in whose parlers they haue made sacrifice vnto Baal, and poured drinckeofferynges vnto straunge goddes, to prouoke me vnto wrath.

¹⁰ For though ye had slayne the whole hoste of the Caldees, that besege you, and euery one of the slayne laye in his tente, yet should they stande vp, and set fyre vpon this cytie.

¹⁸ But yf thou wylt not go forth to the kynge of Babylons prynces, then shall this cytye be delyuered into the handes of the Caldees whiche shal set fyre vpon it, & thou shalt not be able to escape them.

⁸ Moreouer, the Caldees brent vp the kinges palace, with the other houses of the people, and brake doune the walles of Ierusalem.

¹³ & brent vp the house of the Lorde. He brent vp also the kynges palaces, all the houses & all the gorgeous buildinges in Ierusalem.

³⁸ The forsakers also and the transgressours will I take from among you, & bringe them out of the lande of youre habitacion: as for the lande of Israel, they shall not come in it: that they may knowe, howe that I am the Lorde.

¹⁵ I will scatre the amonge the Heathen, and strow the aboute in the landes, & wil cause thy filthinesse to ceasse oute of the: ¹⁶ yea and I will haue the possession in the sight of the Heathen, that thou mayest know, that I am the Lorde. ¹⁷ And the worde of the Lorde came vnto me sayinge: ¹⁸ Thou sonne of man, the house of Israel is turned to drosse. Al they that shoulde be brasse, tynne, yron and leade, are in the fire become drosse. ¹⁹ Therfore, thus sayeth the lord God: For so muche as ye all are turned into drosse, beholde, I wyl bringe you together vnto Ierusalem, ²⁰ lyke as syluer, brasse, yron, tynne and leade are put together in the fornace, and the fyre blowen there vnder to melt them. Euen so wil I gather you, put you in together, and melt you in my wrath and indignacyon. ²¹ I will bringe you together, and kindle the fyre of my cruel displeasure vnder you, that ye may be melted therin. ²² Lyke as the syluer is melted in the fyre, so shal ye also be melted therin, that ye may know, how that I the Lord haue poured my wrath vpon you. ²³ And the worde of the Lorde came vnto me sayinge:

²⁶ They shall stripe the oute of thy clothes, and cary the costly Iewels away with them. ²⁷ Thus wil I make an ende of thy filthinesse and whordome, whiche thou haste broughte oute of the lande of Egipte: so that thou shalt turne thyne eyes no more after them, and cast thy minde no more vpon Egipte.

⁴⁷ these shall stone them, & gore them with their swerdes. They shall slaye their sonnes and doughters and burne vp their houses with fyre. ⁴⁸ Thus will I destroye all such filthynes out of the land: that al wemen may learne, not to do after your vnclennesse.

²⁵ Then wyll I poure cleare water vpon you, & ye shalbe clene: yee from all your vnclennesse and from all your Idols shal I clense you.

¹¹ I wyll breake downe the cytyes of thy lande, and ouerthrowe all thy stronge holdes. ¹² All witchcraftes wyll I rote oute of thyne hande, there shall no mo soyth sayinges be within the. ¹³ Thyne Idols and thyne Images will I destroye out of the so that thou shalt nomore bowe thy selfe vnto the worckes of thyne owne handes. ¹⁴ Thy groues wyll I plucke vp by the rotes, and breake downe the cyties.

¹ In that tyme shall the house of Dauid and the citesins at Ierusalem haue an open well, to wash of synne and vnclennesse. ² And then (saieth the lord of hostes) I will destroye the names of Idols out of the land: so that they shal nomore be put in remembraunce. As for the false prophetes also & the vnclene spirit, I shal take them out of the land:

⁸ And it shal come to passe (saieth the Lord) that in all the land two partes shalbe roted oute, but the thirde parte shall remayne therin ⁹ And the same thyrd part wil I bring thorow the fyre, & wil clense them, as the siluer is clensed: yea, & try them like as gold is tryed. Then shall they call vpon my name and I wyll heare them: I wyl saye: it is my people. And they shal say: Lorde my God.

¹ For marck, the day commeth, that shall burne as an ouen: and al the proude, yea and al such as do wickednesse, shalbe straw: and the daye that is for to come, shall burne them vp (sayeth the Lorde of hostes) so that it shall leaue them neyther rote nor braunche.

¹² which hath also his fan in hys hande, and will purge his floure gather the wheat into his garner, & wyl burne the chaffe with vnquenciable fyre.

¹² Yf any man buylde on this foundacion, golde, syluer, precyous stones timber, haye or stobble: ¹³ euerye mans worke shall appeare. For the daye shal declare it, & it shalbe shewed in fyre. And the fyre shall trye euery mannes worke, what it is.
