⁹ And in al maner of trespace, whether it be oxe, asse, shepe, raymente or any maner loste thyng whiche another chalengeth to be hys, the cause of bothe parties shall come before the goddes. And whom the goddes condemne: the same shall paye double vnto his neyghbour.

²¹ Moreouer seke oute amonge all the people, men of actiuitie which feare God and men that are true and hate coueteousnes: & make them heades ouer the people, captaines ouer thousandes, ouer hundredes, ouer fifty & ouer ten. ²² And let them iudge the people at all seasons: If there be any great matter let theym bringe that vnto the, & let them iudge al smal causes them selfes, & ease thy selfe & let them bere with the.

⁴ If the theft be founde in his hande alyue (whether it be oxe, asse or shepe) he shall restore double.

⁷ If a man deliuer his neyghboure money or stuffe to kepe, & it be stolen out of his house: If the thefe be founde, he shal pay double. ⁸ If the thefe be not founde, then the goodman of the house shalbe broughte vnto the goddes & swere, whether he haue put hys hande vnto hys neyghboures good.

²⁸ Thou shalt not rayle vpon the goddes, nether cursse the ruler of thy people.

⁶ Thou shalt not hinder the right of the poore that are amonge you in their sute. ⁷ Kepe the ferre from a false matter, and the Innocente and righteous se thou sley not, for I wil not iustify the wicked. ⁸ Thou shalt take no gyftes, for gyftes blynd the seynge and peruerte the wordes of the ryghteous.

⁶ speake vnto the chyldren of Israell: whether it be man or woman, when they haue synned any maner of sinne which a man doeth where wyth a man trespaseth agaynst the Lord, so that the soule hath done amysse: ⁷ then they shall knowledge their synnes whyche they haue done, and restore agayn the hurte that they haue done in the whole, and put the fyft parte of it moare thereto, and geue it vnto hym whom he hath trespased agaynst.

¹⁸ Iudges and officers thou shalt make the, in all thy gates which the Lord thy God geueth the thorowout thy trybes: & let them iudge the people ryghtuously. ¹⁹ Wrest not the lawe nor know any person nether take any reward for giftes blind the wise & peruert the wordes of the ryghtuous.

¹ If there be strife betwene men let them com vnto the law, & let the iudges iustifie the righteous & condemne the trespaser.

³¹ And yf any man trespace agaynst hys neyghboure, and hys neyghboure take an adiuracyon to adiure hym with all, and the adiuarcyon come before thyne aultare at thys house,

¹⁰ And whatsoeuer come to you of youre brethren that dwell in their cytyes, betwene bloude & bloude, lawe, commaundement, ordinaunces, and customes, so that ye warne them, that they trespace not agaynst the Lorde, leste wrath come vpon you and on youre brethren. Thus do and ye shal not offende.

¹⁴ For and if ye shall forgeue other men their trespases, your heauenlye father shall also forgeue you. ¹⁵ But and ye wyll not forgeue men theyr trespases, no more shall your father forgeue your trespases.

¹⁵ Moreouer, if thy brother trespase agaynst the, Go and tell hym hys fault betwene hym and the alone. If he heare the, thou hast wonne thy brother.

³⁵ So likewyse shal my heauenly father do vnto you except ye forgeue with your hertes, eache one to hys brother theyr trespasses.

³ Take hede to youre selues. Yf thy brother trespasse agaynst the, rebuke hym, ⁴ and yf he repent, forgeue hym. And thoughe he synne agaynst the seuen tymes in a day, & seuen tymes in a day tourne agayne to the saiyng: it repenteth me, forgeue hym.
