²³ If ye shall trouble them: they shall crye vnto me, and I wyll surelye heare their crye

⁹ And beware that there be not a poynt of Belial in thine hert, that thou wouldest say. The seuenth yere, the yere of fredome is at hand, & therfore it greues the to loke on thy poore brother and geuest hym nought & he then cry vnto the Lord againste the, and it be synne vnto the:

³⁸ But yf case be that my lande crye againste me, or that the forowes therof make any complainte: ³⁹ yf I haue eaten the frutes therof vnpaied for, yea yf I haue greued any of the plow men:

²⁸ In so muche that they haue caused the voyce of the poore to come vnto hym, and nowe he heareth the complaynte of suche as are in necessite.

⁹ there is a great crye & complaynt made by them that are oppressed with violence, yea euerye man complayneth vpon the cruell arme of tyrauntes.

¹⁷ Lord, thou hearest the desyrous longing of the poore: theyr hert is sure, that thine eare herkeneth therto. ¹⁸ Helpe the fatherlesse and poore vnto their ryght, that the vngodlye be no more exalted vpon earh.

⁶ Yet in my trouble I called vpon the Lord, and complayned vnto my God. So he hearde my voyce out of hys holye temple, and my complaynte came before hym ye euen into hys eares.

¹² Sure I am, that the Lorde wyll auenge the poore, & maynteyne the cause of the helpelesse.

¹⁹ He fulfilleth the desire of them that feare him, he heareth their crie, and helpeth them.

⁷ Which helpeth them to righte that suffre wrong, which fedeth the hongry. The Lord louseth men out of pryson, ⁸ the Lord geueth sight to the blynde. The Lorde helpeth them vp that are fallen, the Lord loueth the righteous. ⁹ The Lorde careth for the straungers, he defendeth the fatherlesse and wydow: as for the way of the vngodly, he turneth it vpside doune.

²² Se that thou robbe not the pore because he is weake, & oppresse not the simple in iudgment: ²³ for the Lorde him selfe wyll defende their cause, and do vyolence vnto them that haue vsed vyolence.
