⁹ That he ascended, what meaneth it, but that he also descended fyrste into the loweste parties of the earth?

⁵ And the Lord came downe to se the city and the tower which the children of Adam had builded.

⁴ Who hath climed vp into heauen? Who hath come down from thence? Who hath holden the wynd fast in his hand? Who hath comprehended the waters in a garment? Who hath set al the endes of the worlde? What is his name, or his sonnes name? Canst thou tel?

²³ Be glad ye heauens, whom the Lorde hath made, let al that is here beneth vpon the earth, be ioyfull. Reioyse ye mountaynes & woddes, with all the trees that are in you: for the Lord shall redeme Iacob, & shewe his glory vpon Israel.

⁴⁰ For as Ionas was thre dayes and thre nyghtes in the whales bellye: so shall the sonne of man be thre dayes and thre nyghtes in the herte of the earth.

¹³ And no man ascendeth vp to heauen, but he that came doune from heauen, that is to say, the sonne of man which is in heauen.

³³ For the bread of God is he which commeth doune from heauen, and geueth lyfe vnto the worlde.

³⁸ For I came doune from heauen: not to do myne owne wyll, but his wyll which hath sent me.

⁴¹ The Iewes then murmured at him, because he sayd: I am that bread which is come doune from heauen.

⁵¹ I am that lyuinge bread: which came doune from heauen. If any man eate of this bread, he shall lyue for euer. And the bread that I wyll geue is my flesh, which I will geue for the life of the worlde.

⁵⁸ This is the bread which came from heauen: not as your fathers haue eaten Manna and are dead. He that eateth of this breade, shall lyue euer.

⁶² What and if ye shall se the sonne of man ascende vp wher he was before?

¹⁴ Iesus aunswered and sayed vnto them: though I beare recorde of my selfe, yet my recorde is true: for I know whence I came, and whether I go. But ye can not tel, whence I came, and whither I go.

²⁷ For the father hym selfe loueth you, because ye haue loued me, and haue beleued, that I came out from God. ²⁸ I wente oute from the father, and came into the world, and I leaue the world agayne, and go to the father.

¹⁷ Iesus sayd vnto her touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my father. But go to my brethren, & saye vnto them: I ascende vnto my father and youre father: to my God and your God.

³⁴ For Dauid is not ascended into heauen: but he sayd: The Lord said to my Lord, syt on my ryght hande ³⁵ vntyll I make thy fooes thy fote stole. ³⁶ So therefore let all the house of Israell knowe for a surety, that God hath made the same Iesus whom ye haue crucifyed, bothe Lord and Christe.

⁷ After thou haddeste for a season made him lower then the Angelles: thou crownedst him with honoure and glorye, and hast set him aboue the workes of thy handes.

⁹ Neuertheles we yet se not all thinges subdued, but him that was made lesse then the Angelles, we se that it was Iesus, whiche is crowned with glory and honoure for the suffering of death, that he by the grace of God, should taste of death for al men.
