²⁴ Defyle not youre selues in any of these thynges, for wyth all these thynges are these nacions defyled whych I cast out before you ²⁵ and the land is defyled, and I wyll vyset the wykednesse therof vpon it, and the land shal spewe out her inhabiters. ²⁶ Kepe ye therfore myne ordinaunces and iudgementes, and se that ye commyt none of these abhominacions: nether any of you nor any straunger that soiourneth amonge you ²⁷ (for all these abhomynacions haue the men of the land done whyche were there before you, and the lande is defiled) ²⁸ lest that the land spewe you out when ye haue defyled it, as it spewed out the nacions that were there before you. ²⁹ For whosoeuer shal commyt any of these abhominacions, the same soules that commyt them shall perysh from among their people. ³⁰ Therfore se that ye kepe myne ordinannces, that ye commytt none of these abhominable customes which were commytted before you: that ye defyle not youre selues therwyth for I am the Lorde your God.

³ For we our selues also in tymes paste, vnwyse, dysobedient, deceyued, in daunger to lustes, and to dyuers maners of voluptuousnes, lyuyng in malycyousnes and enuye, ful of hate, hatyng one another. ⁴ But after that the kyndnes and loue of our sauyoure God to man warde appered, ⁵ not of the dedes of rightuousnes, which we wrought but of hys mercy he saued vs, by the fountayne of the newe byrth, & with the renuyng of the holye ghost,
