⁵ And I departed & came downe from the hil and put the tables in the arke whych I had made: and there they remained, as the Lord commaunded me.

¹⁶ And thou shalt put in the arke, the witnesse which I shal geue the.

¹⁵ And Moses turned hys backe and wente downe from the hyl, and the .ij. tables of witnesse in his hand: which were written on both the leaues

²⁹ And Moses came doune from mount Synay & the .ij. tables of wytnesse in his hande, & yet the wyst not that the skynne of his face shone wyth beames of hys comenyng with hym.

²⁰ And he toke and put the testimony in the arcke, and set the staues to the arcke, & putte the mercy seate an hye vppon the arcke,

¹⁵ And I turned away and came downe from the hyll (& the hyll burnt with fire) & had the two tables of the appointment in my handes

² and I wyll wryte in the tables, the words that were in the fyrst tables which thou brakest, & thou shalt put them in the arcke.

⁹ And thereto Iosua set vp twelue stones in the myddes of Iordan in the place where the fete of the pryestes which bare the arcke of the testament stode. And there they be euen vnto thys day.

⁸ How be it the staues were so longe that the endes of them appered oute of the holy place before the quere, but were not sene wythoute. And there they be vnto thys dayes. ⁹ And there was nothynge in the arcke saue the two tables of stone whiche Moyses put there at Horeb, when the Lorde made an appoyntment wyth the chyldren of Israel after they were come oute of Egypte.
