¹³ forbearing one another, and forgeuing one another, yf anye man haue a quarel to another, euen as Christe forgaue you, euen so do ye.

⁴⁴ But I say vnto you loue your enemies. Blesse theim that cursse you. Do good to them that hate you. Pray for them which doo you wronge and persecute you,

¹² And forgeue vs our trespases, euen as we forgeue oure trespasers.

¹⁴ For and if ye shall forgeue other men their trespases, your heauenlye father shall also forgeue you. ¹⁵ But and ye wyll not forgeue men theyr trespases, no more shall your father forgeue your trespases.

¹⁵ Moreouer, if thy brother trespase agaynst the, Go and tell hym hys fault betwene hym and the alone. If he heare the, thou hast wonne thy brother. ¹⁶ But if he heare the not, then take yet with the one or two, that in the mouthe of two or thre witnesses, all thynges may be stablished. ¹⁷ If he heare not them, tell it vnto the congregacion. If he heare not the congregacion, take hym as a Heathen man, & as a publican.

²¹ Then came Peter to hym, & sayde: master howe ofte shall I forgeue my brother, if he synne agaynst me, seuen tymes? ²² Iesus sayde vnto hym: I say not vnto the seuen times: but seuenty times seuen tymes. ²³ Therefore is the kyngedom of heauen lykened vnto a certayne kyng, whithe woulde take a countes of hys seruauntes. ²⁴ And when he had begon to recken: one was broughte vnto hym: which ought hym ten thousand talentes, ²⁵ whome because he had noughte to paye, hys master commaunded him to be solde, and his wyfe, and hys chyldren, and all that he had, & payment to be made. ²⁶ The seruaunt fel doune and besought hym sayinge: Syr geue me respyte, and I will paye it euery whyt. ²⁷ Then had the Lord pitye on that seruaunt, & lowsed him and forgaue hym the dette. ²⁸ And the sayd seruaunt went out & found one of hys felowes, which ought him an hundred pence, & layed handes on him, & toke hym by the throote sayinge: paye me that thou owest. ²⁹ And hys felowe fell doune & besoughte hym, saying: haue pacience with me, and I wil pay the all. ³⁰ But he woulde not, but wente and cast hym into pryson till he shoulde pay the det. ³¹ When hys other felowes sawe what was done, they were very sory, and came and told vnto theyr Lord all that had happened. ³² Then his Lorde called hym, and sayde vnto hym. O euill seruaunt I forgaue the al that det, because thou praiest me: ³³ was it not mete also that thou shouldest haue had compassion on thy felow, euen as I had pitie on the? ³⁴ And his lord was wroth and deliuered him to the iaylers, til he should paye all that was due to hym. ³⁵ So likewyse shal my heauenly father do vnto you except ye forgeue with your hertes, eache one to hys brother theyr trespasses.

²⁵ And when ye stande, and pray, forgeue, yf ye haue any thyng agaynst any man, that youre father also which is in heauen, may forgeue you your trespasses.

²⁰ When he sawe their faith, he sayed to him: man, thy sinnes are forgeuen the. ²¹ And the scribes and pharyseis began to thinke saiynge: What felowe is this which speaketh blasphemy? who can forgeue synnes but God onlye? ²² When Iesus perceiued their thoughtes, he aunswered and sayd vnto them: What thinke ye in your hertes? ²³ Whether is it easyer to say, thy synnes are forgeuen the, or to saye: ryse & walke? ²⁴ But that ye may knowe that the sonne of man hath power to forgeue sinnes on earth, he said to the sycke of the paulsye, I say to the, aryse, take vp thy bed & go home to thy house.

³⁵ Wherfore, loue ye your enemyes, do good and lende, lokinge for nothynge againe, and your rewarde shall be greate, and ye shalbe the children of the hyest for he is kinde vnto the vnkinde and to the euyll. ³⁶ Be ye therfore mercifull, as your father is mercyfull. ³⁷ Iudge not and ye shall not be iudged. Condemne not, and ye shall not be condemned. Forgeue you, ye shalbe forgeuen.

⁴⁸ And he sayde vnto her, thy synnes are forgeuen the. ⁴⁹ And they that sate at meate with him, began to saye with in them selues: Who is this which forgeueth synnes also? ⁵⁰ And he sayde to the woman. Thy fayth hath saued the. Go in peace.

⁴ And forgeue vs oure synnes: For euen we forgeue euery man that trespasseth vs: And ledde vs not into temptacyon. But deliuer vs from euyll.

³ Take hede to youre selues. Yf thy brother trespasse agaynst the, rebuke hym, ⁴ and yf he repent, forgeue hym. And thoughe he synne agaynst the seuen tymes in a day, & seuen tymes in a day tourne agayne to the saiyng: it repenteth me, forgeue hym.

³⁴ Then said Iesus: father forgeue them, for they wote not what they do. And they parted his rayment, and cast lottes.

¹ We whiche are strong, ought to beare the fraylnes of them whiche are weake, and not to stande in our owne conceptes. ² Let euery man please his neyghboure vnto his wealth and edifiynge.

⁷ Wherfore receyue ye on another, as Christe receyued vs, to the prayse of God.

⁷ Nowe therfore, there is vtterlye a faute amonge you, because ye go to law one wyth another. Why rather suffer ye not wronge? Why rather suffre ye not youre selues to be robbed? ⁸ naye, ye youre selues do wronge, and robbe: and that the brethren.

¹⁰ To whom ye forgeue any thynge, I forgeue also. And verelye yf I forgeue anye thynge, to whome I forgaue it, for your sakes forgaue I it in the roume of Christe,

⁶ in purenes, in knoweledge, in longe suffering in kyndnes, in the holye ghoste, in loue vnfayned,

² Beare ye one anothers burthen, and so fulfyl the lawe of christ.

² in all humblenes of mynde, and mekenes, and longe sufferynge, forbearinge one another thorowe loue,

³² Be ye courteouse one to another and mercyfull, forgeuynge one another, euen as God for Christes sake forgaue you.

² and walke in loue euen as Christe loued vs, and gaue hym selfe for vs, an offeringe, and a sacrifice of a swete sauoure to God.

¹² Nowe therfore as electe of God, holy and beloued, put on tender mercye, kyndnes, humblenes of mindes, meaknes, longe sufferynge,

¹³ For there shalbe iudgemente mercyles to hym, that sheweth no mercy, & mercy reioyseth against iudgemente.

²¹ for here vnto verelye were ye called: for Christe also suffered for vs, leauynge vs an ensample that we shoulde folowe his steppes,
